Firstly, I'd like to say that Beginner steps are taken from the song's Light steps, with every other step removed. Just go into any random measure in Training Mode and switch back and forth between difficulties to see.

Also, the above tip doesn't have an effect on the following songs (meaning, they stay exactly the same):

Baile Le Samba
Brick House
Dream a Dream (Miami Booty Mix)
Hit 'n' Slap
Jam On It
Looking For You
Standing Still In Time
VJ Army

I'm pretty much sure the Beginner steps aren't altered because they're just two-footers (and there isn't a one-footer in UM2 either). I don't know if they're affected by the four italicized ones because those are much faster.

As for rating them, well, you're on your own. I'd say halve it if it's a two or four (or six E10.gif *cough*MAXes*cough*), but that won't work for odd-numbered footers. You could probably just bump them down 1 foot due to BPM.

Oh! Just remembered: any jump that isn't an Up-Down or Left-Right jump gets reverted to one of the two aforementioned. Unfortuneately, I couldn't figure out what became what, so you're going to have to figure it out. =\

And, of course, don't forget the songpack songs.

Just letting you know.

The stepcharts are generated from DWIs. We don't do any real work with creating the images, a script does it for us. ;D
