Okay, I'm about to e-mail the creators of the web series Red Vs Blue asking if they would allow a brief interview detailing their upcoming season (Season 3) and talking about the process of creating the series. My question to the Mods and admin of the site here is simply may I have permission to briefly represent DDRFreak if and when the interview is accepted? If not I won't send the e-mail asking for the interview and I'll call the whole thing off. But I don't wanna go sayin "Oh yeah I represent so-and-so website" and not have permission. Also, if you have any relevant questions or inquiries into the webseries you'd like to ask it would greatly help out the interview should it happen. In fact any posters can post any questions they have for the creators of the series provided the question isn't sarcastic, flamish, or totally off the wall.

Wouldn't it be safer to keep DDR Freak out of this and just keep it to your own personal experience, by not saying you represent them?
If you gather the authority/claim of representing DDR Freak it will be pulling administrators into that weight, and it would be better off if they were doing the job themselves instead of through someone with less authority.
Summary: Don't represent DDR Freak, don't attempt to represent what isn't yours or it might jumble and confuse a couple things...
Just my thought... |

Why would you need to have DDR Freak be a part of this at all? _________________

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear at all. I just wanted to do an interview that could be posted here. No point in having an interview for an average schmo when people that actually watch the web series on the forums are asking the questions they want to know about.
Easy form: I wanted to do an interview for Freak. _________________

Then my question is this:
Why have DDR Freak involved?
Sure, we may have fans that like RvB (I think it's pretty funny, but I've only watched Season 1). But the fact still stands that we are a DDR fansite.
Being a representative of DDR Freak would mean that it would go on the main page or something, or be something more than a thread in Random Chat. If that was the case, I'd want it to actually be related to DDR in some way. The only question I could think of would be "Do you guys play DDR?" But then, really, who cares if the RvB guys play DDR?
If you interview them and get all these questions answered and throw it up in a random chat thread, then yay for you. Even ask in Random Chat what questions people would like to have answered. But I see no point in having DDR Freak be officially involved with this because it has nothing to do with our site. _________________

Point taken. The only reason why this came to mind was because although DDRFreak is a site focused on DDR, DDR is still a game and as such I figured game news other than the relavant type surrounding DDR would be a fresh change from the dismally slow waiting of the next DDR version to come out or the next local Cali tournament. Also, the Mod of the Month post is making it to the news section now as well which also prompted me to wonder if a more loose news base into other game-oriented news would be appropriate. But I do see your point that this is a DDR focused website where that's usually the only thing in the news section at all. _________________

stupid people that play ddr and worship RvB; that's who.
and yys: I completely support this idea. For the people who no longer care about DDR, it would add something new to the headlines. _________________

YYS: there's no reason not to represent the DDRFreak community rather than the administrapo, which you aren't, and therefore can't. Since you're a member, and would therefore be representing the opinions of at least some fraction of the membership no matter what, I can't see why you'd have to ask permission. |

As I already said, you can make a thread in Random Chat and ask people what questions they'd like to ask. Then you can email them on your own and post any response you get.
No need to have this open. _________________
