I see a lot of DDR songs that have "AMD Mix" as a subtitle. I'm just wondering what the hell AMD stands for. Any of you know? _________________

Hmm, to tell you the truth, I don't know either, but if I had to guess, it'd mean something along the lines of "AMusement Division" or "Arcade Machine Division" just because "AM" usually refers to the arcade division of video game companies. I think Sega and Namco's arcade branches have names like that, too. |

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Yeah, Naoki made orion.78 (AMeuro-mix) as well as AM-3P (AM East Mix), so I guess he...
...I don't know. I'm just pulling out junk at random. _________________

AMD... Hm...
If they were made in the us, AMerican Division would make sense...
As for AM itself, maybe it's just an alternative to saying Radio edit? No, probably not, they're not really for the air waves... Hm. _________________

"AM" is also an abbreviation for "morning" (as in "morning mix"), so I'm guessing that has something to do with it. Guessing there's an artist/DJ that goes by "AM", or has those initials. "D" on the end probably stands for "Dance". So it all comes down to who/what "AM" is. |

Project: J-ko is a winner.
To clarify/elaborate, Konami AMD is the branch of Konami that developed the DDR arcade mixes. You'll notice that all of the AMD remixes are songs that previously appeared in Beatmania/IIDX, so the AMD label is Naoki's way of saying this is a remix made for DDR (basically because the Beatmania version wasn't considered "danceable" enough).
As for AM-3P...the "AM" does indeed stand for the Amusement Machine Division. I don't recall what "3P" stands for off the top of my head, but I think it's something like production studio 3...again, refering to the specific people at Konami that developed DDR. _________________
