sounds like a good idea, but might encourage post whoring. _________________

I doubt this would ever get implemented, but a way around the whole postwhoring argument would be to set a required membership time, similarly to how Basic->Trick is done. A years' membership, for instance.
Anyhow, here's another reason why it won't work - DDRFreak isn't your standard off-the-shelf phpBB installation. phpBB doesn't support this on an end-user level - You'd have to install a modification...and that would require a lot of work and redesign to make it to work. _________________

You're right, this will probably never get implemented.
First, like already mentioned, if you made the sole requirement 1000 posts, postwhoring would shoot through the roof.
Second, there are still people who postwhore to get to Trick even with a time requirement. They think "Oh, I need X posts and X amount of time. Well I'll get those posts out of the way..." Think of what would happen with a 1000 post requirement.
Then we'd have to code it all in, which probably wouldn't be THAT bad, but the coders have more important stuff to work on. Then we'd have to do guidelines for custom titles.
In the end, I don't think it would be good. Those who are great members to the forums and have been here for a long time don't need a title to be recognized. _________________

And avatar/signature. 95% of what is in the little rectangle that is someone's post is customizable by the user. Just their title and the date they can't customize
I think that's plenty _________________
