problem with my pad?

hey guys i didnt know what forum this fit in so.. sorry.

well i bought a 30 dollars ignition pad v 2.0

and well sometimes i fidn that it has problems making good contact on the left and right buttons.. at first i thought i was stepping wrong.. but then i made a point of hitting hte arrow directly in the middle and having my toher foot touch no other area of hte pad and still contact was not being made. i dont know if its the pad itself because im having hte problem with my other pad also... anybody have any ideas what it may be?

tape it down.. make sure its on something flat.. and not a carpet

If your other pad does the exact same thing, connected to the same controller port, then my guess would be that it's the controller port on your console that's the problem. Simple logic.
