I was at the Toronto meet up and after making a simfile and prepping my other file the machine wouldn't pick up my USB. I would plug it in and nothing would come up saying it was reading it then the USB sign came up with a cross on it. The files are in .ogg and Max Infinity has a .sm file and Leeroy Jenkins has has a .sm and a .sm old...Infinity has one difficulty and Jenkins has 2.

That has nothing to do with the songs on it. It means that the flash drive doesn't respond to the machine. It may not be compatible with it.

Did your flash drive ever work before?
Did it come with that U3 launch pad pre-installed?

The type of files it uses does...I'm checking for the U3 now.

When I plug it in it detects two drives...that other one there is obviously my disc drive.

That's pretty funny.

But yes. It might be the U3 thing. Also, does you USB ports work for other people's drives?

I can confirm that U3 does indeed make the machine hate your flash drive.

I had my laptop with me today and I finally decided that I would start using a USB. I put it in (with U3) and it was giving me errors and wouldn't even read the drive. Person there said that if I had U3, try deleting it.

Booted up my laptop, deleted U3, put the drive back in and it worked perfectly.
