|
|
I'm having a problem when I connect stepmania to my TV. I'm using an S-Video cable to do this. When I see stepmania and my desktop on the screen, all four sides of the screens are filled to the edges until I start the gameplay. The part of the screen where the lifebar (top) is and where the score (bottom) is is scrunched toward the middle of the screen. I have looked through the options and I couldn't find anything. Is there any way to stretch it to the edges? Any help would be nice! |

I didn't see that anywheres in there and like I said I've tried all the size options. I think it's the theme because when I use pop candy it's full but anything else like Max 2 or Katze Extreme is weird. Does anyone know what to change in the metrics? I tried changing some numbers and it does change the size just I don't know the correct numbers and exactly where to put them. |

Thanks but no thanks. I just tried it and all it does is move it to different parts of the screen. I need to stretch it not center it. |

like i said, you need to hold shift while pressing the arrows, that stretchs it.
this works to stretch the sreen, if it doesn't then your doing something wrong. _________________

Thanks. I'll try this tonight. Question, why do you instruct him to change to the original theme? I assume you mean Stepmania's default theme. I'm just curious why. |

Haha wow, thanks. I've been meaning to update my basement setup topic with new photos.
So I was able to change the aspect ratio of the screen with your shift/direction button suggestion, but couldn't increase the vertical size enough to make a difference. As I increased the size, the borders would disappear into the black area of my screen. It's not a big deal to me. I'll settle for that "widescreen on a 4x3 TV" look. |

I tried it in both katze extreme and max 2 and default was fine at the beginning but max 2 didn't change nor did extreme. And yes I was holding down shift. |
