Two questions.
I have two TX-1000 pads. One of them I used for 3 months and it was fine, but now the right arrow does not respond after a short time. Each arrow has 6 LED lights. The right arrow only 1 of them lights up. I took the arrow out and sort of jiggled the cords around, and all 6 would light up from time to time. but when i put it back in it stopped working again, and the arrow doesn't really respond. is there any way to fix that?
so currently i'm using the other pad to play. it works just fine, but sometimes in game on screen it will say "please plug in the controllor" for a fraction of a second, and i'll typically get a boo on the step when that message came up. i'm wondering if there's any way to fix that as well, but it sounds like something i'll have to live with. |

The LED's and the sensor are not connected. If you have the same TX1000 as I do all of the LED's on all the arrows light up when you step on one arrow. Chances are you need to take off the up arrow and reattach the wire.
Second problem.. I had a problem with my control box that caused my pad to not work. Chances are you can deal with the ocassional boo or rewire the pad to work with another control box _________________

I have a TX1000 and it gave me problems for a while, but Ive got most of the bugs in mine worked out.
If I were you, I'd take the LEDs out completely. They aren't important to game play, and the TX1000 lights don't even look that cool anyway.
I replaced the arrows with lexan, which is a pretty simple process if you have the time.
The last thing I had to do was replace the sensor in the front arrow. I have no clue why, but it quit working within two weeks. I built a new one out of paper, foil, foil tape, and scotch tape.
It works great now and the whole thing cost me less than a hard foam pad. |
