Hey... i'm tired to this poopy now... I have just built a pad.
Okay i start with...
The pad is built with Plexiglass and wood (u know) and i have soldered to a softmat controller now and before i soldered it to the softmat controller i had a PS1 controller and i still have the same problem...
When i play without shoes on the Plexi it works almost perfect. When i put a shoe on my foot then it all frick up. It misses directly and stepmania lags for a sec and the pad aint working for 10 seconds.
If you need more info to help me fix this just tell me!! Im tired of this, i have done everything i can :/
My thoughts are... Has this something to do with static electricity?
Cheers. |

Well, if it works well without shoes, and then REALLY starts to get worse with shoes, than it is almost surely static electricity. You need to ground your pad, which unfortunately I can't really tell you how to do because I really don't know how that works. But if you ground everything and it still sucks with shoes, solder to a tx metal pad control box!!! Trust me, that's the only thing that worked for me. The tx control box also have protection from static, so I'd say you should just do solder to that now to be safe. Just go to radio shack and get a 15 pin connector that fits in to the tx control box (the control boxes are cheap) and solder the correct wires to the correct pin annd plug it in . If you want to know what wire goes on what pin, Scorpion can help you with that _________________

I'm not 100% sure, but you probably could solder directley to it. Are there Radio Shacks in Sweeden? Cause that's where you get them.
I don't know if you could ground the softmat controller its self, but like I said, you can ground the pad. Someone else will have to help you with that tho _________________
