k so i have the mad catz beat pad pro which hooks up to xbox, playstation, and gamecube. A while back i did this mod to my xbox controller to hook up to the computer by soldering the wires from a usb cable to the xbox controller wires, and i was jst wondering if doing the same thing to my dance pad would have the same effect and work on the computer. Does anyone know if the wires look the same on the inside of dance pads cord as they do for a controller? if someone knows anything about what im askin please respond.

If the first mod worked without lag theres no reason the second one shouldn't. It would probably be easier to buy a converter so you can ensure that XBCD recognizes it, but you'll be able to shut off the corner buttons in XBCD so go for it I guess. |

I had the same pad as you, and I tried the same thing. As far as connecting the wires goes, it's the same thing; red to red, yellow to yellow, etc. The only problem I had was I couldn't get the XBCD dance pad driver to work, but with some tweaking to the .INF file you should be able to. _________________
