Ignition 3.0 mat problem

We're ready to take back our second mat in 3 weeks because the disc/pads all end up in the center which makes your feet easily slide off the sides. We don't wear shoes and can't seem to prevent it from happening. Has anyone else had this problem and how do we fix it for good? We're tempted to rip the thing apart but that would void the warranty...we tried shaking it without the foam pad but they wouldn't budge. Any feedback is appreciated.
