i dont know if this is the right forum.
DDR TV Pad
Product Link http://www.ddrgame.com/dadareddrtvp1.html
I got this for my birthday in like june and cause i dont have ddr for any consoles and i wanted ddr so i bought this piece of crap. it has 8-bit graphics like the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System aka the first nintendo built about 20 years ago) so the graphics are crap, the box says theres 50 songs, i counted less than 50, theres like 30, and 18 are all 2-3 songs in a group, and 2 others are like NES games on a dance pad, pinball and whack a mole, the music is the worst, its no where close to Konamix music quality
the dance pad quality itself is pretty bad, its not non-slip, arrows sometimes stick, after about an hour of use whenever i stepped on the down arrow the right one acted like it was stepped on,
other stuff, this tv dance pad doesnt run on batteries only the adapter, when opened the battery chamber there wasnt the lil spring and other part like any other battery run electronic has, the box didnt have a company name on it, so its most likely counterfeit,
in conclusion DO NOT BUY THIS!, just buy a PS1 and a good dance pad and DDR Konamix, its better than this tv dance pad piece of crap |

Quick question for you: do the graphics on this thing look similar or identical to any of the following screenshots?
Title screen
Song select screen
Gameplay screen
Grading Screen
(Apologies in advance if the pictures load slowly. My college installed a new firewall recently and things have been wonky since then!)
Anyway, I'm wondering because these are screenshots from an 8-bit Nintendo game called "Dance 2000" that I found on the internet. I figured that this was the same game that's contained in those DDR TV pads, but since I've never actually played one of them (I've never seen them on sale in any store/kiosk around me, just on the internet), I wasn't totally sure. |

Judging by the song selection and graphics description, I'd say that is the same game packaged in the dance pad. That game would be kind of hard to play given the up/down arrows are reversed. It would be preety easy to make the mistake of buying one, though, because the picture on ddrgame.com shows the official Konami PS2 dance pad. _________________

i got my ddr tv pad from www.tisinc99.com and only the game play screen looked like mine, the dance pad itself looks like a konami soft pad without the konami sign on it. on the title screen mine had the same lil kid on the screen but kinda different and the screen said 2004 with colors and crap, the song selection on mine is different and the grading is kinda similar, i cant take pics of teh screens on mine cause i threw my tv dance pad out
oh yeah the graphics are pretty much the same as the pictures shown in the post i quoted |

yeah i bought a multi-game bootleg system before that had ddr on it and it looks like the screenshots. the really annoying thing is that there is no difficulty selection and the up and down arrows are reversed from what we are all used to. |

I see. I'm not surprised. I'm guessing they've changed it slightly since the game I got came out. My game has songs and graphics that, if anything, are closest to 2nd Mix and 3rd Mix. They're probably keeping it slightly updated. Anyway, thanks for the response and don't worry about making screenshots of your game. If I really wanted to, I could go out and buy one of these myself! |

My step-mom bought this for herself thinking that she could use it to work out but, when she saw the graphics and the MIDI songs she sent it back. She wrote a letter to the seller because they used false advertising. Don't buy the TV pads. |
