This.
Seriously, what were they thinking when they wrote NGO and Dead End Groove Radar Special?
Pluto Relinquish Oni is actually kinda fun until they give you the murder-trills at the end and then leave an empty chart for 15 seconds (what, do they assume no one can make it through that?). Pluto Hard takes more practice but isn't bad. The real crap is Pluto The First - it can burn in a fire.
What were they thinking when they replaced the awesome fun BG videos in Extreme with some of the ones in Ex2 and later? Now they all just have swirly backgrounds and the occasional rotating image. 1998 used to have an awesome BG video, now it's got its static background spinning in place. The spinning unicorn in A is indeed pretty whack. The only improvement I saw was that of PSM, the assembly of the DDR machine is fun to watch (and distracting).
Why didn't Hottest Party have mods?
Why did they write some songs using inaccurate BPMs and compensate by using ridiculous 32nd/64th arrows? iFutureList, Injection of Love, and Burning Heat come to mind. They're all off by 20 bpm or more. Sakura is also off at the end, it runs 320 after the freeze, but it doesn't seem noticeable. |

i know, i think the only BG videos i like from SN is Xepher's and DoLL's.
i especially can't stand A Thing Called Love's video (because the storyline thing is kinda weird and unrelated to the song...i don't know where the mermaid fits in) and Knock Out Regrets's video is pretty much the worst in history
EDIT: and when they made Sakura, why was it a 10? Under The Sky doesn't feel like a 6 (it is a 6, right?) to me either, the ending is way too hard _________________

Xepher's BG vid goes beyond awesome.
Sakura is sort of a borderline ten. There has been some debate about re-listing it as a nine, although with the new 20-foot scoring system in DDRX the distinction has already been made. With the ending run, Sakura is at least as hard as Xepher Oni.
Is it just me, or does it feel like most of the pre-SN2 non-Maxx tens were really awesome songs? |

...when they ported Ultramix stages like GORGEOUS 2012 and MATSURI (J-SUMMER MIX), and then *NOT* INFINITE PRAYER, Sana Morlette (BLT Style), MAD BLAST, or KEEP ON MOVIN' (DMX MIX). (Even BATTLE BREAKS, ANALYZE, and MEANING OF LIFE were pretty fun!)
...when they listed PARANOiA (HADES) Expert as a 9, *and* Uranus Oni as a 10... I mean, WTFF?! |

Which was stupid. Now they can't even legally manufacture those games because they've been discontinued, and they'd have to pay for all those licenses again to be allowed to remake any of their older games.
I've been saying it for 4 years now; new DDR games should be released as upgrades so they don't lose any of their licensing. _________________

...added all those E-rotic songs to the earlier mixes?(seriously.)
...made the stepchart for NGO Challenge and Unreal Expert?
...chose the song list for DDR Supernova 2 PS2 version?
...had the genius idea of letting Sean Paul, Chris Brown and whoever the hell sings Suddenly I See into the wonderful realm of DDR.
...put FELM into Supernova 2 when we obviously want A NEW 10-FOOTER and we're OVER THAT SONG.
...and now that i mention it, made the stepchart for FELM Oni. _________________

... did the songlist for SN? Honestly, I know alot of people really like SN and hate SN2, but for me it's the opposite. I still like SN2 (don't play it much - got Extreme, EX2, Max, Max2 for what I really want to hear).
But today I stuck SN in cause it's been about a month? since I played it.
I love David Bowie, saw him in concert every time he was here until Glass Spider tour (don't like outdoor stadium concerts), but Let's Dance? Maybe Modern Love, The Jean Genie, ok. But I just don't want to DDR to Let's Dance.
other SN songs that make me today remember why I never play it:
Come Clean
Do You Want To (what, they get a discount on the license for using it on 2 games since that's on GH?)
Since You Been Gone
Video Killed The Radio Star (yes, I DID see this the first time it was on MTV - first song played and the millionth song played) ... but it's not a DDR song
... did the hypermaster (endless!!!) mode for SN and SN2 for that matter
... who got stuck trying to make stepcharts for alot of the SN songs, they must have been having one heck of a bad day
... decided things like NGO, Fascination Love Mix, Outer Limits (and a few others I can't think of right now) were songs in the first place. OK, maybe Outer Limits is a song ... but barely. Otherwise, basically imho, noise with rapidly changing bpm. _________________

Makes it easier to AAA a song. |

...made Flow and Flow (true style) separate songs?
...replaced background videos with stages in the Supernova series?
...removed most of the Club Version songs from Supernova 2? (Okay, maybe I'm the only one who cares about that, but still...)
...didn't include Doubles Maniac charts in Disney Mix?

1. One is Techno Style and the other is Raggae Style |
No, he means Flow and Flow (true style). They're the same exact song, but with different step charts. Hlavco wants to know why one song was given two separate slots on the songwheel.
Flow (Jammin' Ragga Mix) was an entirely different version altogether. _________________

ummm, no...
The only real difference between the two songs is that True Style has bpm changes and (I believe) an Oni chart. The other charts are pretty much the same. |
