| actually i aint tried it yet but i dnt like downloading things with out knowing how to do it, so could someone go through it, whether its easy to do ect, and how to get song onto the system as i dnt no cheers |

It's very simple. The download is an installer exe program. Once it's downloaded, double-click it to install StepMania. It usually installs in Program Files.
The game doesn't come with any songs, but you can download them from many places. Most downloads come in packs of many songs. If the pack is a SMZIP file, you can just double-click it and StepMania will add the songs for you. If it is in a normal folder (or a ZIP or RAR which you must extract), open My Computer, go to Program Files, StepMania, Songs. Then copy/move the song pack there.
An important thing is that individual songs must be inside a collection folder, and the collection folders are what go in the Songs folder. You can organize your songs by collection that way. |
