going to play some extreme 2/supernova now. |
What's the quarter mod?

Devon your stamina is so weird. You rape Jack but your Holy Orders is kind of low in comparison. And wow at Uber Rave andOML. Go get 'em. O_O
I think the quarter mod is when you put a quarter between the sensor and the foil/metal or whatever. I dunno but I think it's something like that.
I don't know where to put this so I'll just put it here.
I played Pump seriously for the first time yesterday! Yeah it was a Chuck E Cheese's for 1 quarter/token (!!). I'm pretty sure it was Exceed 2 and it felt SO GOOD seeing arrows scroll smoothly on a screen (as opposed to the laggy ITG2 machine here). So yeah, I managed to A a couple of 8s on hard and I'm pretty certain I can S every difficulty below that. I only played 2 sets but it seems easy to get used to after a few rounds. I don't think I could handle anything beyond 8th streams at like 190 BPM (don't even know what color 16th notes are yet). I still get confused by the layout. @_@
I need to play there again. I have a bag of tokens that are begging to be spent.
Btw how do you set mods before picking a song?:S |

I thought that, except for Pump Pro, the arrow colors for PIU were column-based (IE up-left is a different color from down-right which is a different color from center, etc), NOT timing based.
Incidentally, I have yet to play Pump (Except for one time where I tried playing it in a dream. I got owned hardcore, partly due to the fact I was attempting to orient myself on the pad such that I was playing it DDR-style--in other words, I was at a permanent 45 degree angle to the screen ) despite the fact that I had a machine not far from my house last I knew, at a laser-tag place. _________________

i played alot of customs this weekend to get used to certain step patterns. Played on a Konami cabinet which kept giving me way offs and decents every once in a while, but w/e for a machine that was 8 years old, i played pretty good. Not as good as a dedicab, but it was good to see i can do streams WAY better than i used to. |

lol, pump is fun....but i suck at those intense "amost turn around but not all the way" crossovers....=( (ie. when your left foot is on the UR arrow, and your right foot is on the UL arrow, but then you turn back to normal without going 360degrees around....)
And DarkCore, you said
"If so, I have 83 now with like...so many greats it's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure if I comboed the slowdown and FA'd the rest of the song decently enough, I'd get it."
That kinda makes sense, doesn't it. The problem is actually doing just that. It is REALLY HARD to eliminate greats, or even FC for that matter.
Think about this. It took me about 2 months to break 90 from an 89. Yea. My current record is a 92....but that was REALLY lucky, and close to a FC. I won't be breaking that anytime soon (unless i'm even luckier).
I can see you getting prolly in the high 80s (like 87-88), but breaking 90 is rediculous. I starred every 12 (If you count home and arcade) except bloodrush before i broke 90 on euphoria.
Really. Good Luck with that. You'll need a lot.
DAMMIT I WANT TO GO TO AN ARCADE! BUT I HAVE NO TIME!

Thanks. I'll remember that next time.

Funny. When you have no time to go to arcades, I start having all the free time I need. I now have 5 days of school again instead of 6, my PSATs are this Wednesday so no more intense studying, and I have some extra bucks for the arcade. Can't wait for this weekend. ^^
Nice Euphoria, Devon. How was your great count? (Btw "nice" is a huge understatement)
Also, congrats on your new personal Hispanic panic record, Soul. lol, you're getting really close to your bar scores now. |

Your Destiny is almost as high as mine. I reeeeeeeeeeeally suck at it for some reason. :S
You could definitely raise that Why Me score. I bet to a 95 possibly.
Good luck with Determinator. I'm nowhere near being close to passing that. My stamina's ass. |

Hardcore of the North. Or do Pandy hard 3 times in a row. That's a good stamina booster I think. |
