If you have a fliptop then I strongly do not recommend bemaniso

That site is illegal and I look down upon anybody who would use it to burn copies of Red and Ex JP.

Ok, A. JPEx ROCKS! And B. I HATE bemaniso. They are a bunch of self-centered, self-righteious slobs who expect everyone to be bale to be downloading poopy from the 24 hours a day, which I can't. I just said I had to get it SOMEWHERE. And C. I use swap discs, but I use cogswap and the ARMax Exploit, so I need it burnt, not official copy. If I had Swap Magic, I would just buy IIDX Red and then play it by converting the NTSC to PAL.

Red or Extreme? If you like IIDX, get Red. If you like DDR, get Extreme. Extreme will not get old fast, unless you've played all of the games for years, and can easy AAA everything, or you just have a softpad or something.

You hate things for the wrong reason. Plus, I'd imagine there's a reason any community would hate you.

Him and I both look down upon you.

I love my legitimate copies of Happy Sky and Red.

Legit Japanese PS2, IIDX RED, and IIDX Happy Sky for me!
If I were to chose though, I'd go with DDR Extreme (Japan). The songlist is huge, it has some wonderful licensed songs, and probably one of the best console DDR games out there. IIDX RED is friggin hard. The songlist is great, but it just isn't one of those games you can enjoy with friends who most likely never played before.

Beatmania and DDR are two completely different games for different people, and each has their advantages and disadvantages.

DDR - Social, Athletic, Dancing game
Beatmania - Difficult, fast keyboard based game, little social action

RED has A and AA, plus red zone, night flight to toyko, etc, etc and it is beatmania, Extreme has Dance Dance Revolution (my favorite DDR song) and the whole "for extreme" series, plus plenty of beatmania 5 and 7 key songs (such as A, 321 stars, etc).

Your debate is really beatmania vs DDR, and in that case go Beatmania as a personal opinion, but then I own every beatmania/DDR/Pop'n Music, Guitar Freaks,Drummania, etc out (minus a few DDRs)

Whatever you like best really...

BTW DDR Extreme Japan Version is getting hard to find which is a big reason to get it first if you find it - Red can be bought at play asia, et al right now!

Happy Sky! Or wait till August for DistorteD!

Yeah, if you've already got EX, EX2, & SN (or 2 if those, at least), no real reason to get EX JPN, cuz just about every song on there is on those games (not all, cuz I still want Across The Nightmare!). After getting SN & it's EX songs (LEAST 100 SECONDS!!!), I didn't care about getting EX JPN anymore.

So either RED or Happy Sky (click for songlist). HS has Xepher!

This thread reminds me a LOT of a thread I saw what could have been a year ago. Maybe longer.
