I'm not quite sure what to advise except to keep calling - if you find a voice of reason, make sure that you get some sort of confirmation number that allows you to track who is coming and when.
Hope you will get out of MMB's endless cycle of customer service of doom (TM) soon. In the meantime, if you got your control box along with the pads, you might as well bang up the thing and test it out... then you get to have the option to say "don't send me a new one, I want my money back".
Best of luck and all that good jazz~ _________________

No, I mean it'll happen randomly and the ENTIRE computer freezes with a blue screen (not even any text, just a blue screen). It scares me so I try not to make that happen again. :o

I'm sorry, not to be mean, but after this company's feedback since January, how could you possibly assume things would go smoothly?! Sorry to hear it's not going well, though.
I still haven't gotten through to MMB myself - I'll try calling again tomorrow. |

Im close to hit the buy button and buy my blueshark.
Hopefully it comes ok, but if it does not, where is this phone number I can call, and where is there wherehouse or store just in case. I will be pissed if they can fix any problems, if any arise. |

Can't get your money back. Unfortunately, part of the warrenty says that they can't give cash refunds
mymybox wrote: |
WARRANTY INFORMATION
We do not offer cash refunds. However, for a period of six months after the shipping date, we will repair sold components and platforms free of charge, provided they were used in a "non-commercial application", have not been modified, and are returned in their original packaging. We will pay return shipping on products sold in the contiguous United States.

So everybody be careful when your purchasing a Blueshark. Don't be fooled. Look out for loopholes. |

Yeah, it's fine on the PS2, so I just play play PS2 only.
I'm WAY more worried about the back of the pad BENDING BACK AND FORTH when I use the bar now >:|. It has stretch marks and it's permanently bent, it's worrying me.
I like how MyMyBox has no cash refund and a six month warranty, but it's been over FIVE MONTHS OF TRYING TO UNSUCCESSFULLY CONTACT THEM. GG on voiding my warranty, MyMyBox!
Why are people still buying these pads?! At least they had good feedback back in November (when I ordered mine). |

it sucks that u and a few others got messed up pads but thats just how it goes when u buy stuff online compared to buying it from a store |

well i did finally get through to them the next day. the guy said he would call me back after he called fedex, and he did. he told me that fedex would pick it up the next day, which they did as well. He was actually really helpful this time and he said they already had a packed up blueshark to send me when they recieve the damaged one. So we'll see if this next one i get is good. >_<. _________________

I caved in to a general lack of options and a calculated reward > risk situation... I didn't like the all metal design of the new TX pad, I didn't like that Cobalt Flux doesn't have recessed arrows (first hand experience), and a lot of people recommended me against the Afterburner, where there's apparently problems with rust and too deeply recessed arrows.
Not to mention that nightmare stories are coming from *all* of these companies, so it's not like I have a choice when it comes to customer service (come on Dancing Tofu...)
And about my pad's occasional stream of pad misses: I've been able to reproduce it on Hot Limit Heavy, which means step count (and not speed) seems to be the pad miss triggering factor. I did the following experiments:
1. With shoes and socks on BlueShark pad -> pad misses halfway through the song and pretty much goes into a pattern of 30ish step's worth of misses then 30ish steps worth of registering hits.
2. To see if it's the adapter's fault, I went back and play the entire song with a PS2 controller. No misses whatsoever.
3. Plugged the BlueShark back in and played with socks on only. No misses.
4. Got my shoes and socks back on. Sadly, I can't reproduce the misses - everything works fine this time around.
Kind of frustrating actually. If it's just the adapter or if the misses are consistent when I wear shoes I can pin the cause on something, but right now, the most probable cause is that there's some problem with the control box or the pads. I'll probably order another control box to make sure, considering that they're not that expensive compared to the pad itself, and I'd have a backup in case MMB goes under / my pad's support gets discontinued.
The saga continues... _________________

I emailed mymybox about the blueshark, asked them a couple quetions, heres the info if any are interested.
Q 1:How long does it take to build it and ship it if I live in southern
california?
A 1: We have 3inch blueshark metal pad in stock so you do not need to wait!
Q2: Do you guys ship the control box separately? because the pad is pretty
heavy.
A 2: We normally ship the control box separately since April 10 or so.
We are designing new metal pad protection and box. Once our new design box is
approved by fedex
and UPS, we are planing to ship out the metal pad and control box together.
Q 3: Also I heard that you guys moved and hired more people, will this improve
your "making" of sharks so they dont come messed up, and will your customer
service improve as well?
A 3: Due to many emails and phone calls, our company recently hired 3 more
staff for customer
service and sales. We will try to response our emails in 24 ~48 hours.
Our new MYMYBOX Online Department office is located in near by magic mountain
(Six Flags) in
Valencia. If you live in S. California. You might want to stop by our office
on weekdays
afternoon after setting up appointment. We will let you test the blueshark metal
pad before you
buy.
Now, lets hope their customer service improves. They say "I" can go and test the pad before I buy. I emailed them again saying if I can go and test it and buy it up front, so I save on shipping but mainly is because if I go and test it, I know it will work, will keep in touch on what they say. |

nice that means u wont get messed up pads during the shipping process u can just drive over there and get it and to top it off if it somehow stops working u can just bring it back too
but yeh i never had problems with both of my bluesharks so from my personal experience and a few of my friends who got them i would say go for it |

I called up mymybox, they said to send them some pictures of it because they didn't believe me when i said when i recieved the blueshark that it was bent. Called them up when I sent the pictures, he replied with a "What the f" and they said that they would send me another one, and that they would get fedex to pick it up on either last friday or monday ( yesterday ). They didn't pick it up and i've tried calling them yesterday and today with no answers. Any ideas? This sucks because i was sure when i ordered mine nothing wrong would happen lol. GG |
Holy shit, it looks like a car ran the box over. How does something like that even HAPPEN? I mean, stuff gets beat up during shipping (my CF box was pretty banged up when I finally got it), but that is wow. I don't think I'll ever complain about stuff getting messed up in shipping again. _________________

This shouldn't surprise you in the least bit if you know how packages usually gets handled and what goes under a blueshark.
First of all, nobody likes handling an 80lb. package - nobody is getting paid extra hauling that thing to you - and so nobody has to play nice even if you cover the thing with "fragile" stickers.
Second of all, the metal on top of a BlueShark pad is only as thick as aluminum sheets, and it's all plywood underneath. If you slam on a weak spot hard enough, it's pretty easy to dent the metal surface and the wood underneath it... I got a dent on the side of the pad recently just from playing too close to my desk.
To be honest, if the pad itself is performing at 100% (no pad misses, no dead arrows, etc) I'd just take the pad as-is. As long as the pad itself functions well, there's no reason to ship the thing back and forth and do the waiting / customer service game... the longer you play, the more chance you'd have to lose it all. Not fun at all. _________________

This is it, heres my plan, go to six flags!!! then take a break and go buy my pad, then go back to six flags and go home. Here is what MMB said.
If you come in directly and test out the pad, you may buy it without the hassle
of shipping. You
may come by to test the pad any time during the week Monday-Friday around
1:00PM-6:00PM. The best
time would be around 1:00PM.
Our adress is located in the Valencia industrial center
Mymybox
27825 Ave Hopkins #4
Valencia CA, 91355
If you have any questions about getting here please contact us at 213-291-8789
Sweet!!! I save on shipping w00t. |

I actually spoke with MMB today - after five months of trying to contact them! It's true - they respond at around 5pm EST (and not at any other time apparently). The guy on the phone was very responsive and spoke English fine. Here's hoping it works out - he said he'd speak to a 'specialist' about my bar bending the pad, and for me to call back. |
