I bought 8 sensors from MyMyBox about a month or so ago for use in my metal pad overhaul, and I was wondering, given the cost of the sensors, if the longevity is going to be reasonable.

I play on heavy mostly, between 7s and 9s with few at or above level 10 songs, and I do not excessively stomp. How long will these grey sensors last? I play 5/7 days of the week for an hour.

I hope these sensors under these conditions last me a decent ammount of time, at $160 for 8 it's expensive.

I'm just guessing here...

If these sensors are the same quality as a Konami gray sensor, then you can bet they will last for several years with just you playing on them. But I don't know anyone that has tested these sensors for any real length of time. Only time will tell.

Well, arcade sensors do wear out.

But generally they deteriorate over a span of 2 to 8 years under conditions where they are being hit over 50,000 times a day, and even then retain acceptable sensitivity.

They should last you at least 6 years before you have any problems at all.

I have a blueshark which uses those sensors, and I honestly can't even imagine those things ever breaking. They're great.
