Engrish makes me laugh. Which is why I keep on cracking up whenever I go to Japan. Even though I understand Japanese. _________________

It's getting better, ko. Obviously, there are the Japanese folk who try to speak English and end up looking silly, but then again, we non-native-Japanese speaking folk end up doing so often too, regardless of our level of proficiency.
Also, am I right in saying that MMB is mainly staffed by Mandarin Chinese-speaking folk? |

Not sure, but their language along with the inability to ever reach them makes me thing some days that their whole company is a joke |

Yes, that's true, I suppose.
I believe so, but I really have no idea. The only reason why I think so is because their Engrish sounds vaguely more Chinese than Japanese, me having encountered both. (I'm half-Chinese, half-Japanese.) _________________

That's actually what I was thinking. I think somewhere I heard that they were translating from Mandarin, but I don't remember.
You speak all three fluently? (English/[Mandarin or Cantonese] Chinese/Japanese) |

Yup. Fluent in Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and English. (Limited Engrish skills. ) Well, seeing I was born in Japan, raised by a Chinese mother and a Japanese father, and moved to the US when I was eight, it's really not as much an accomplishment as a necessity. _________________

I am baffled why anyone is still buying from them.
I'm going on four months on no replies to any of my emails or dozens of phone calls (my friend has even tried calling them when she has free time at her job).
I would propose a boycott until they get their act together, but I have a feeling people will be lured by the "Problems happen to other people" syndrome. |

Honestly, I feel like this problem arose at the one time I decided to go with them. I did a lot of rescerch on the right pad to buy, and even then, I think I screwed myself |

Hm...I suppose I was one of the lucky ones then; they did answer all my emails within the week. And the pads arrived safely on time, and they're perfect. _________________

Were your emails of a "I want to buy yo stuff" nature?
Also, I was considering sponsoring a boycott, but I think I'll remain an observer on that front. |

Well, I've been researching metal dance-pads for the past few days, and so far, I'm always led back to MyMyBox's BlueShark and Nexen pads. I would really like to get a BlueShark, but $400 seems a bit much. I would look more into the Nexen, but it seems that MyMyBox hasn't had any in stock for a while (I've been checking back over the past few weeks), and I'm quite skeptical about ordering from E-bay or any other 3rd party seller.
So if my dad will be willing to pay $400 for my gift, then I'll probably go with the BlueShark, if the Nexen doesn't get a fresh shipment in. Also, it seems that the only BlueShark pad they have is the one with the bar. I was planning on building my own bar with the barless BlueShark, but it seems that they won't get any in for a while. From what I've read, the bar's very wobbly. I'm a 9-10 footer, so I'm approaching the difficulty in which the bar's your best friend.
So, do you think I should pursue a BlueShark with a bar, or keep my fingers crossed that they get more Nexen's or barless BlueSharks in? |

So, are these mats still the best that you can get? It seems that all the good mats are turning into crap lately (CF & RO). _________________

The Blueshark? I believe so.
I have two, and I can honestly say they're the best home pads I've played on. _________________

Here's what I say if you want a great metal pad and aren't going with DTG:
Get a cheap pad first.
Tear it apart, but make sure you memorise how it goes together while you do.
Then get a BlueShark.
If there are problems with it, you'll be able to fix them, unless they're problems with the sensors, in which case the best you can do is replace them.
MMB will not help you.
From the second you confirm your payment, you're worth nothing to them. _________________

Well i shouldnt say finally, it took me about 10 minutes talking of the phone with them to get tht order fixed. Though i had to have them email me the correct phone number as its not listed on thier site.
I get it on friday acording to fedex.
I hope this is as good as you guys say because i pretty much bought it from your recomendations.
Not to afraid of having to take it apart if i need to fix it, heck i built several arcade cabs for my family room, and am looking forward to adding this.
If its as good as you guys say i will order another in a few weeks. |
