when i'm using sandals or heels...i take them off and play barefoot. who playz ddr using heels? i would like 2 see dat. lol. i sometimes use my black & white coloured all-star converse shoes.

I have played DDR in. . .

Barefeet (softpad, arcade)
Socks (softpad, tx1000, CF, Arcade)
Converse Chucks (tx1000, CF, Arcade)
Wellingtons (Arcade)
Dr "Air Wair" Marten's Steel-Toed High-topped Fashion Only Boots (tx1000, CF, Arcade)

I get the best results in my Converse Chucks on an arcade pad.

One of my biggest footwear accomplishments was clearing HVAM [heavy] on doubles on two unattached CF's in my Docs. (the boots)
That was at the peak of my doubles play. Now, I'm pretty awful at Doubles because I only play once or twice a month. (fail most 9's and some 8's)

Dude, heels, that would be hardcore, man. Hard...core.
I play in the shoes I wear everywhere else: Emily the Strange skater shoes. They're purple and black and have little bats and kitties on them.
My girlfriend once played in Dock Martin sandles. I did not witness this, but she said it was hell. We refuse to play barefoot though, we know what's been on those pads.

well, i have a soft pad (sponge) at home and so i juts play with barefeet.
sometimes socks if i wanna slip and sliide.

in arcades, i usually plkay in whatever im wearing. or i just take off my shoes.
i dont play completely barefoot though. usually its socks or shoes. (in arcades)

The idea of playing barefoot (or even in socks) at the arcade freaks me out. I mean, I've seen people do it, but aren't they afraid of mashing up their feet? There are screws and rough edges and stuff and nothing to help absorb the shock. Not to mention the risk of foot infections and so on.

I have a soft pad at home and I go back and forth between barefoot and socks. I don't slip as much when I'm barefoot, but my feet get sweaty and stick to the pad. Not an ideal situation either way. I want to get a hard pad that I can play on in shoes.

Plus playing barefoot at the arcade is raunchy. It's just gross. And playing in socks is stupid. You could just like slide and get hurt.

I always play in shoes at the arcade. I only have one pair that I wear all the time rather than having a special pair just for DDR.
