Hmm, weird, mine hasn't been giving me problems, and I've played on mine for 2 weeks. Good as new. _________________

This is the first bad reveiw on the Blueshark I've heard that hasn't been fixed by Mymybox. |

Well, My friend got his blue shark yesterday, and since I am little better then him, He let me try it out on the "harder" stuff.. It has a decent feel to it. Feels a little stiff. and The sensitivity isn't all that great.. and the bottom arrow won't hold a freeze for the life of us.. even with all of our weigh on it. The trick-bar is decent.. though I am temped to take it off so he (Playing 5-6 footers) won't bar rape all the time. I give it a 7/10 |

You probably just need to loosen the down arrow then or something.
Oh, and let him use the bar. I was using the bar when I was playing songs like Break Down (Standard) and I still advanced pretty quickly. |

Sounds like it has the same problem mine had. Open up the arrow that isn't holding the freezes and look at the contacts. Normally, there should be two black magnets that are glued right on top of these other metal parts, but I'm guessing the magnets are about 1/2 on for right now. All you have to do is glue them in place and it should work better. |

Ah. Ive found the problem why my up arrow is giving me misses.
Crappy Craftsmanship.
The up arrow had a different feel to it since day 1. I never really though much of it until it gave me a few misses.
When I would apply force to the up arrow, it would register- but when I would release my hand it would pop back into place. With a bumpy bounce kind of thing. It was pretty unusual.
I took off the up arrow and took a look at it, one of my pannel corner support's was brushing up against the arrow and was moving it forward.
Up at the top, where the thin metal part is.
The thin metal strip just above the wooden part had been rubbing,
(Up at the top, where the metal part is.)
severely, againt the arrow pannel. Here 2 pictures of what it had done.
I've got an idea on how I'm going to fix this, but I can't now because I have things to do and not much time.
BTW any idea suggestions would be great, thanks!
Oh and, everything on the blueshark works fine. Its a GREAT pad. I recommend it to anyone. |

Oops, watch the double post. ;p
Anyway, I had a similar problem with almost every arrow on my tx1000's. What you can do is take a knife, hold it 90 degrees from the surface of the metal, and scrape; this should smooth it out and cut it back without damaging it, just make sure to get a hand vacuum on a low setting and clean up the metal dust. _________________

I just about got my nexen fixed. the only problem (which isnt really TOO much of a problem) is that when i hold down the down arrow, the first half second of holdin it down, i can see on the arrows on the top of the screen that the button is being "spammed." At least it works now on holds, though. Its not really interfering with the sensitivity.
What I did was scratch off some of the glue that was stuck on the wire that they stick under the velcro. It might be the problem. The glue might be in the way of the circuit flow. After getting some of it cleared off (with some residue still stuck on the wire...) I can now play again. If anyone has suggestions please make them; seeing the arrows up top flash as i hold the down button makes me a little hesitant. _________________

I'm surprised to see the responses on the BlueShark!
I got mine for Christmas and have been playing for at least an hour a day since.
The accuracy is dead on (once it was broken in). I actually PREFER it to the Extreme and Supernova machines near me, since they're in mediocre condition and aren't as responsive.
I've FC'd six song courses and passed MaxX Unlimited Heavy (I just borrowed DDRMAX2 from a friend) for the first time after getting this pad. It looks shiny and nice and I love it . It lives up to the hype.
The bar IS a little wobbly, as everyone knows by now, but you can still put all of your weight on it and it won't break - it just takes some getting used to.
MyMybox really sucks at shipping, though. I can see why someone would have some problems - even mine, although working wonderfully, got a few tiny scratches due to a pretty minimal/lazy shipping/packing job. I think they really need to pack their pads better, given the price.
Does anyone know if MyMybox will sell PC USB control boxes for the BlueSharks? I was following the forums and it seems like they did at one point and discontinued them 'until further notice'.
edit - I know I shouldn't, but I've been playing the BlueShark barefoot! The metal is slippery, but it's actually easier on my feet than my old modded softpad with plywood underneath. Using the bar I was able to still pass Maxx Unlimited Heavy with a C, barefoot .
I can imagine it would hurt if I missed and hit the screws, though.

Hmm, got my first "I'm pretty damn sure I hit the arrow but it didn't respond" miss on my Blueshark today. I'm not sure if I just missed the arrow or if it was the pad. Happened in the middle of Infection. Still got a better score, though.
EDIT: Damn it, this posting error is pissing me off. _________________

Mine gave me "I'm pretty damn sure I hit the arrow but it didn't respond"
misses out of the box... but mines because my BlueShark was thrown together very sloppily.
The up and both down arrows stick because the arrows were cut too large.
Also they splashed sodder inside of my right arrow, right on one of the arrows.
Luckily it still worked and I put some electrical tape over it.
But I can still pass Delirium and Destiny, and all the songs that I'm capable of doing, on it. |

The older ones had the black center panel but they've stopped doing that. The pictures on their site are a bit misleading though. |
