This is one, and only one, reason SuperNOVA is good for beginners. The only background dancers are the same ones you see on every other difficulty.

for MAX, there are a few 1s, but it's only like 4 songs, while the others have a 1 foot difficulty for nearly every song. The majority of the light songs are 4-6 feet on Max. not much room for improvement/fun for beginners.

MAX2 FTW. it is the game that took me from mostly light to consistantly heavy. it's good for improvement, it's easy and has beginner mode. even MAXX Unlimited is painfully easy on beginner.

Yeah, but most of the songs and harder and faster than any other Home version. I'd think SuperNOVA should be the last one to worry about when it comes to buying a good mix for beginners.

MAX and Extreme are the best. While Extreme's songlist blows, it has a ton of lower level songs.

Yeah, but I don't see a FOUR YEAR OLD being able to complete Stellar Joint Master Mode. They probably wouldn't have a clue what everything meant.

I'm 18 and I'm half clueless as to what's going on in that mode. E4.gif

Personally, I think Konamix is the best for beginners, but that may be hard to get ahold of. Max2 is definitely a close second, though.

I have to disagree with this completely. I started with Konamix (unfortunantly), and it has a rather small song list (most of the songs have to be unlocked) with only 2 one-footers and 2 two-footers and no beginner mode.

As for all the stuff about the dancers in Beginner, my sisters learned to play with Beginner mode, and I can't honestly say any of them paid attention to the dancers anyway. They were too busy watching the arrows.

It makes little sense whatsoever. If I do the right requirements, it doesn't care. It doesn't give me a checkmark. E2.gif
