To those who say soda has made them feel nauseous, it's because either the caffiene or carbonation (I can't remember which, sorry) dehydrates you. So you were probably really dehydrated.

One time I went to play DDR after I ate at Taco Bell and I got one of those huge cups and filled it with Mountain Dew Code Red. Now I'm really not supposed to have much caffiene if any, and Mountain Dew is definately stretching it, especially a big cup of it. I took the MD to the arcade with me to drink while I played. I didn't throw up, but I noticed myself getting REALLY exhausted after each song as I went on. Then I played Witch Doctor, which is a huge stamina stretcher for me. I had to really push myself to pass (with a C) after I started to get sort of dizzy about halfway through. When I finished, I almost fell over because I was so tired. If the song had been much longer, I might have gotten sick or fainted or something. That's the last time I brought soda to the arcade, and I don't think I've passed Witch Doctor since then.

I guess that explains the OMFG-I'm-going-to-barf-except-not-really feeling I used to experience. Interesting.

Thank goodness I got off of drinking soda at the arcade. It makes even the easiest of songs tiring.

i swear, i can drink 3 24 oz bottles of mountain dew while i play DDR for 4 hours and it doesnt make a difference. Same with most my friends. I dont get how you can just barf after drinking mountain dew, i guess.

Then again, i go to all nighters at my local lan gaming centers and consumer about 8 cans of mountain dew during the 8 hour period.

I didn't throw up. I just got dizzy and lightheaded.

I guess like T-14 said it depends on how your body handles certain things. Since I'm not supposed to have caffiene, it's understandable that it effects me in a negative way.

Yeah, that's how it is for me. When I drink soda, I just feel really sick, as if I'm going to barf. I never actually DO barf, though.

At the arcade one time I seriously over-did it playing DDR. I didn't take any breaks and I did nine consecutive songs. I failed halfway through the ninth song and at the end I extremely sweaty and felt like I was going to puke and pass out. x.x"

On the topic of soda dehydration, it doesn't usually affect me. However, this one time I had just finished a 20oz Pepsi and decided to play DDR. This kid asked to play versus with me, so I complied and chose Healing Vision (Anglelic Mix). I started to feel a little tired. Noticing that the kid had failed the song, I figured I didn't have to worry about him choosing anything hard. He chose Cartoon Heroes. Geez. He failed it, and I was trying to keep the round alive while trying not to collapse from dizziness. (I guess I had had more soda than I thought that day) I passed, though, so it's all good. E1.gif

Sorry, but I only vomit when I'm sick.

I almost threw up on the arcade machine once. But I ran to the bathroom and just sat retching over a toilet for 10 minutes. disgust.gif

It was probably my 5th set in a row. I had just eaten chicken wings. I chose exotic ethnic and felt sick so I stepped off and sat down on a racing game at my arcade. I grabbed my friends french fries and barfed in those goog.gif . Hey, I guess some people like gravy on their fries.

Exotic Ethnic does that, not sure why... I'd already been playing for a while and had just gotten an upsetting phone call so I was like "hey, why not play 8 ten footers in a row and forget my sorrows?" I made it through all of them, then for my last round of the third set I picked Exotic Ethnic. But I'd just played bag and forgot to drop the speed off 3x...

Way too much DDR that day.

I was throwing up earlier for a totally unrelated reason and this thread on this forum came to mind. Weird.
