You also have to consider the stepcharts when you're talking about gameplay. Most of DDR's charts are either very random and annoying, pointless and easy, or bland 8th streams everywhere.

ITG has interesting stepcharts on the levels of 9 and above, and most new 10s Konami throws out are REALLY stupid (Faxx/SMMM oni doubles (wow I said this already)), or just annoying 300+ BPM.

In The Groove 2: Naturally I played this way before I played DDR SuperNova. The music selection is the main weak point of this game; although there are quality tracks in here there isn't much variety in the music. Otherwise, step quality is pretty good (aside from the occasional stepchart) and the game offers some difficulty and some innovations. Rolls, hands, etc.

DDR SuperNova: It's DDR. It's got more "danceable" music. The charts are pretty simple technically speaking but you can have fun more "quickly" with DDRSN. Regardless of sync though some of the charts are a bit low quality or are just too repetitive or simple. However the fact that it has some "danceable" music adds fun factor to this game.

Overall ITG2 wins but DDRSN is very very fun as well. ITG2 seems like a more "competitive" game and DDR is about having fun.

Yeah, new stepcharts are a given for any game, so I don't count them. If you get hung up on the word "gameplay" you can take that out and just leave "mechanic," though I'm pretty sure if something alters the way I play I game, then it's germain to gameplay.

Even though some people say that ''itg2 is like stepmania'' we itg2 maniac's dont care. SuperNOVA is beyond the most boring game!!!. Like I said when i made this thread the gameplay is horrible while the graphics are marvelous! But itg2 is more exciting because there are mines...and awesome modifers! see the funny thing is that..today i go to chicago...because i want to get itg ( ive been to over 5 stores looking for it) and while my mom is driving me im wondering...hmm should i really trade me my ddr extreme game for itg? so i decided of course because itg is more neat. Even though i got ripped off i dont care because its itg!!!!! Even when sNOVA comes out on ps2 im still not getting it. Supposdly, if itg2 comes out on ps2..which I hope ill be the first one to get it!!! back to the discussion. Yeah, i know ddr has more better music to listen too...But here lemme ask u a question..would u want to listen to any song in the world on ddr while playing begginer?? Hmm NO!! See what i mean? I really don't care if you think ddr is better because thats your opinoin. So i don't count against you. But there is always 1 good thing about ddr that is...freestyle. Even though freestyle is the only best thing on ddr ( i dont know if it's still alive anymore) I give it a thups up . But if you really want to try to do freestyle on itg here are good songs to do it on...''Queen of light'' ''torn'' and some others i forogt ={ Well thats about all i can say about DDR VS SUPERNOVA. Its just more of a challenge then DDR is. Like I've said before, DDR started the dance game and now it just needs to pass it on to itg\pump.

I played SuperNova for the first time yesterday...

Let me just say I only played 2 sets because I had tokens left. My impression of it was that it was SO DAMN AWFUL, I have no desire to play it again.

I have 6 more tokens I will probably use on ITG2 when that arcade gets it on Tuesday. (Even though I own a damn ITG2).

Summary = Snova sucked. Badly.
