Kids are like sponges. You put their mind into something they'll do it. biggrin.gif

i must say you have in your possession one of the cutest kid that play ddr. i like the way he bops to the beat before the arrows starts to scroll and the way he circles around the pad afterward. E4.gif and we cant forget the high five from his great dad E13.gif

Wow... first you bump the thread and then you only mention that you bumped it. You deserve an award, and thats not a good thing.

when i was in cedar point a little over a month ago, i was playing DDR and some little kid and his dad came up. His dad asked if he could join and when i heard this im thinking "o probably just a kid who wants to stomp on the pad for no reason." Then(to my suprise) he puts his credits in and goes to standard. He picked the song "breakdown" first and got an A. Keep in mind this is at the arcade and he was about 4 feet tall and probably well under 60 pounds. The next song he picks CANDY, and got a B on this one but said its because he can't hit the pad very hard so its more difficult. For the last song I picked butterfly and he switched up to heavy, and to my suprise got a B! I also taught him how to do the spins riiight.gif . After that i asked him how old he was, and he said he just turned 6. Then i thought about the first time i played DDR i was like 10(im 14 now) and was pretty much falling while i attempted to play. I just don't get how kids are so good at the game now! but hey, my parents said the same about me getting to world 8 in Mario Bros 1 when i was 5.

I'd like to take a few pointers from that kid. Incredible.

I know a 7-year old who plays though. He's still on Beginner and Light levels, but hey, the fact that he's starting early is an advantage. I predict that the next generation of DDRers will have to come up with a new level beyond Oni just to keep from getting bored.

I am very behind in this topic, but I'd feel like a hater after spending some time catching up and being blown away by Ryota's dance moves if I didn't post.

Ryota's Move 6 - La Senorita

I was very happy to see him grooving to this song before the steps began. It showed me he is really beginning to feel and enjoy the music. The music is what drew me to DDR, not the steps and sometimes I find myself concentrating too hard on the steps instead of feeling the music. A combination of both makes me most happy.

What's so great about this kid is that he's HAVING FUN instead of whining over the 23 greats he got like most people would these days. I just hope the kid enjoys DDR and keeps his positive attitude when he get's older instead of turning into a cocky snob that insults people who aren't as good as him.

Thanks guys. When I decided to upload his 1st movie, I was little nervous. I felt the movie is somewhat fun. However, I thought some people may feel unconfortable (mm... difficult to express...).

He is a happy boy by having a lot of kindness from you.

I agree with you, Joshua B. Ryota just loves the game. That's why I love to see his play.

IMHO(In my honest Opinion) all the japanese imported games for ddr and beatmania are better than the ones here in america but the ones here in america have certain licensed songs that are for here only. Same thing for the Japanese ones. If you want to import games.. I suggest
