I sent Asymptote a challenge on Groovestats and hope he will challenge me back. This is undoubtedly my greatest accomplishment to date. E13.gif

On a more serious note, today was definitely a pretty good day accomplishment-wise for Ye Olde ITG PS2.

Marathon:
Breaking Point (Normal)- 37.80. My thoughts as I started Vertex were "Okay, this has actually not been too bad so far...the X3 on parts of Tell was a bit uncomfortable, but I survived it pretty well....ooh, I don't know if I like this almost total fade out...OH GOD IT'S FLOAT AND I'M ON 1X OW OW OW MOMMY MAKE THE HURTING IN MY BUTTHOLE STOP."

Yes, I still refuse to do Marathons on anything besides 1X. No, there's no real basis in logic for this; I may reconsider if tournaments involving Modded Marathons suddenly come into vogue in anywhere remotely resembling near me (Fat chance), but until then, I play them only for myself f00ls. biggrin.gif

Also tried the 1X Float Challenge as posted on ITGFreak.com with Tough Enough. That ended roughly as badly as my Breaking Point adventure.

Songs:
The Beginning (Hard)- 95.47
Changes (Hard)- 95.49
Funk Factory (Expert)- 92.10. Rawx.
Land of the Rising Sun (Hard, Reverse)- 95.47. Not a new record on the song per se, but the fact I SDGed it on Reverse is encouraging for my skill in Reverse reading (Though given the song is #1 on my game's Most Played list, maybe I should've thrown on Random or Blender).
On a Day Like Today (Expert)- 72.90. Taking a look at the picture, it's too bad that "Emptyeye's On a Day Like Today Expert Lifebar: The Ride" is extremely cumbersome to say, or I'd pitch the idea to Six Flags. laugh.gif
Touch Me (Expert)- 71.92. Meh, it's improvement.
Turn it On (Expert) 92.26. *Fistpump*
Vertex (Hard)- 79.37. I have an (Official this time!) Challenge from XMaxX to get this up to an 82, which is going to be harder than I thought. Another attempt actually yielded a failure during the 612 part with 76.XX. Ouch.
Walking on Fire (Hard)- 89.80. Sometimes I think to myself that when Roxor says "We designed this game with people who use speed mods in mind", they mean "We took some random songs and made their arrows JUUUUUUUUUST offsync enough to really piss off people who actually try and step with the music rather than reading at 600BPM+" </bitterness>
Torn (Medium)- 95.28. See my above comments.

Stuff I'm proud of:
I passed not one, but TWO new 10s today (#s 5 and 6 on ITG, and 10 and 11 counting DDR). This was the first:

This was the second. If it wasn't technically a sight-read (And I don't actually remember if it was or not), it was for all intents and purposes, as I didn't remember it at all.

Stars!
Marathon * #3..both the Greats were on Tough Enough, and at least one if not both were during the slow section; I FECd everything after that:

And my first Hard double-star! I don't care that everyone and their trained monkey already has a 100 on this, I'm still proud of my first Hard **:

Unofficial 90-the-9s challenge now 16/44 complete.

Nice double star and full excellent combo, I still haven't done either of those on any difficulty yet riiight.gif

I haven't passed Anubis yet either but I probably could now because I whore a chair, but I noticed you seem to have trouble at the part that screws me over too E15.gif

On another note, I seem to remember reading that you live somewhere near CT, is this true? I like the baseball trophy on top of your TV btw laugh.gif

Hey, keep practicing, those FECs and double-stars will come eventually. I now realize that (Most of) the top players got to where they are through lots of practice, which gives me motivation to keep working to improve myself.

As for Anubis, that was actually my first try of the day, though I had tried it and failed at several other times awhile ago (I had tried it enough/gotten far enough that I was pretty familiar with the stepchart before this pass though). And yeah, that part gave me some trouble, though I don't think I was ever really in danger of failing (Unlike, say, on Do U Love Me where I spent the entire middle portion of the song flirting with disaster. laugh.gif).

And the baseball trophy is my brother's. He's 17 now; the trophy is from awhile ago. Interestingly, he seems to have a talent for ITG (One of the scores on a 4-block song, I forget which, is a 94.03 that I'm pretty sure he got first try. Impressive for someone who played maybe once or twice in his life in my eyes.), but isn't particularly interested in it (Which is fair enough, as he's too busy playing various sports like..well, baseball).

And yeah, I'm in CT. Waterbury to be precise. Taking a look in ITGFreak, the nearest machine is an almost-reasonable 45 minutes or so from me. Not a drive I want to make frequently with gas prices the way they are and all, but it may be worth looking into.

Hmm, I don't think Waterbury is too far away from me, I live in North Granby which is some major hick town biggrin.gif

I wish my brother was as talented as yours lol, I have trouble getting 94's on easy even when I try lol. My 14 yr old brother is getting into it now (I'm 15btw, turning 16 in July) but we both need to work on our FA A LOT haha.

The nearest ITG2 and DDR EX machine to me is at Holyoke mall which is only a half hour drive. Luckily my mom pays for gas and everything so I'm off the hook there, but now that my DDR homepad is almost finished and I might have a flux on the way I'll probably never go to the arcade (I've only been like 3 times anyway lol).

I've been seeing a lot of your DDR and ITG scores and I think we're fairly close, but pretty much your better than me at everything. You can be my first DDR/ITG rival, I'll start doing marathon courses now E7.gif

97.07 on Let My Love Go Gay.... and now all ITG1 9's have been *'ed.... also raised a bunch of my 9 scores as well. 10 more 9's left to break 97 on, and that will come soon, followed by **'s on all 9's. And Emptyeye, I just barely got that score you challenged me to get, I got a photo but I'm a little to lazy to upload it right now. If I don't work tomorrow I might just improve it as well. Hardest 10 ever...

I'll think of a challenge for you as well.

My accomplishment is getting a Groovestats finally. Don't expect to see many arcade scores, but know that all my home scores are legit (as in non-controller) and barless/chairless (not because of the honor and pride, but because their is nothing that works with my height.)

So yeah, send me challenges and intentionally make them hard for me. I only have like 6 scores up, only 2 I'm actually happy about, but they were the only ones I could remember. I can hold my own on the higher end songs, so keep that in mind if you send me a challenge.

HotN no bar, first pass:

Sucky score, I know...I just need more stamina. By the end my legs felt weak and I was missing more and more steps (as you can see by the lifebar graph or whatever it's called).

Today is a day for HotN indeed! Here is my first HotN pass (with bar frown.gif )

It's enough to make me happy...
Also, 35.15 Pandy! Failed during the second part with the cowbells.

Those aren't cowbells, cowbells have more of a tinny sound. It kind of souns like a messed up gamelon, but it's hard to say.

Oh and AABob, while I did pass HotN barless beofre you, I think the only reason is because I've been playing ITG longer. in other words, your barless score is still better than mine, so don't worry about it too much. I have like a 69.XX barless and only an 84.XX with bar (of course, that IS a drastic difference)

Improved my HotN score:

I messed up on some parts in the second half and came really close to failing. Hopefully I'll eventually be able to break 90 on this.

Yeah, songs like Tension and Sweet World are probably harder to *** than the majority of 11's. I'm not good enough to worry about ***'ing 11's, but seeing the scores I have on them even when I combo them and then comparing my best scores to like Tension.....yeesh.

I have an 80.03% on Tension......after whoring it. I have a 91.XX on Xuxa, a 89.XX on Utopia, a 92.XX on Charlene, a 84.XX on Infection....you get the drift.
