I've been using Stepmania for a number of years but recently something has happened to what appears to be random song files...On certain songs, when I try to play them the music skips and is all mixed up to where you can't understand what it is (but when you play the music through a media player like WMP, it plays fine) and then when you try to play the song, the arrows go all over the place and are skipping everywhere and it's impossible to play those songs...This problem seems to be affecting about 20 to 25 of the songs on my computer. I've tried replacing all the files with a friend who's files worked and I still had the same problem. Any ideas anyone? Thanks. |

Try downloading the latest version of stepmania and importing your song folder to that (if it doesn't do it automatically). It could just be that your version of stepmania is outdated. |

ok well I figured it out...I think the song files somehow were corrupted and did not work properly anymore. All I had to do to fix the problem was find a new song file and replace the old with the new...Hope this helped anyone else who might be having the same problem. |
