.250 inches or cm?
.22 inches equals 56mm, which is not very much imo. Does Riptide use two layers of plexiglas? |

Yea, the graphic is sandwiched between two layers of plexiglass; you have plexiglass>graphic>plexiglass>sensor on top of each other respectively. _________________

Dude, I used riptides design for my pad and I used 2 pieces of .22 inch plexiglass for each panel so I could sandwich my graphic, and it turned out great _________________

Thicker is better, but not too thick. CF is using 3mm. |

Dude!! You got only one .125" thick for each panel?!?! That is DEFINATELY gonna snap unless you have 2 layers of those for each panel AND a middle support _________________

Too thick to what? To cut it?
Thicker is really better. The CF has 3mm because the contact technique relies on a bending arrow to make it work. But if you have a real metalpad with lights in the middle and want good feeling, you wanna stick to plexiglas that doesn't bend, since the whole surface is supposed to go down. |

It probably would have been alright cause I used 2 pieces of .22" for each panel AND I have a middle support under the middle of each panel so I'm 100% sure I will never have any problems with panels cracking. But what you're using should work IF you have middle supports _________________
