Mellow? When was that in DDR?

Have you never been mellow????

Are you just going based on the titles? The one in DDR is a completely different song.

I wonder why

Same key, same basic instruments, same artist, same almost everything. Listen to both songs and you'll notice the similarity.

same artist

yes yes yes I KNOW, that's the point of my post. of course songs by the same artists, especially pop artists, are going to sound similar. same artists are kind of an obvious exclusion to this thread.

Among E-Rotic's songs, Touch Me and Test My Best are definitely more comparable than Oh Nick Please Not So Quick and In The Heat of the Night. In other words, just because songs are by the same artist doesn't mean they're going to sonund that similar.

Anyway, some more comparisions I have include:

No 1 Nation = Break Down
Why Me = Let Them Move (for both having a woman with an extremely annoying voice wail out the chorus)
Don't Promise Me ~Happiness Mix~ = Simply Being Loved

Another thing, the sireny squeal from Disconnected Disco always makes me think of Disabled the FLAW, though the two songs otherwise have nothing truly in common

I heard some people say that July ~euromix~ sounds much like a remix of Better Off Alone.

Which MC Was That sounds like a slower version of Jack And Mark Get Busy! from UM2 sp12.

The monolith <===> hvam connection is actually really funny. Monolith hard has the same number of steps as HVAM heavy... They both run at 196 bpm(majority of the song) and they both have a few part that sound VERY similar

Yeah, the first connection that I made between DDR and ITG songs, was monolith and Healing Vision, the pause, the end, the beginning, and then end has one heart beat.

i only think that there is one part that has steps like Max 300 from Energizer, so the steps aren't really the same at all, lots of step-jumps. So only the music and style is the same, really.

This must sound weird, but Hardcore Symphony really seems to sound like Captain Jack (Grandale Remix), except with synths and orchestral instruments instead of vocals. Both songs have brisk, driving tempos and catchy melodies.

If Boogie Down had retarded steps and retarded music, it would be Daikenkai.

Instead it has retarded steps and no music at all, so it's just garbage.

I mean Driving Force Classical.

No...I meant garbage.

I always thought that "Driving Force Classic" and "Garbage" were synonymous.

So, despite the fact that the rhythms/melodies/all the other stuff that makes a song unique are totally different, you would say they sound the same just because they pretty much have the same BPM?

Or they just might use the same sample of a telephone synth or whatever the hell sound it is. I haven't heard anything that sounds like a direct sample from a Paranoia.

It's much more than the tempo. The overall elements, such as the heavy bass, big drums, and brisk tempo make Hardcore Symphony sound like a Grandale Remix just like Captain Jack.
