So does this thread cover just about all the famous song's abbreviations? Or are there still more?

A Light Foot has given a reason to lock the thread? Amazing. Good thing no one but the beginners posted here.

The issue isn't about coming up with abbreviations given the song name, but rather knowing the song name from the abbreviation. Anyone, regardless of experience, could abbreviate Cartoon Heroes as CH, for instance, but an inexperienced poster isn't going to see "CH" and immediately realize that it stands for Cartoon Heroes (and going through the stepchart list to find possible matches and then guessing based on context shouldn't be necessary).

I think when writing we should try to use as little abbreviations as possible...so many times I'm reading a post and I have no idea what they are talking about.

I agree, I'm always so lost. I understand it makes it easier but does it really save that much time? I'd rather have people understand what I'm talking about personally..[/quote]

theres also, Aoi Shoudou (for Extreme), Dancing Pompokolin, God Of Romance (by Judy Crystal), Matsuri Japan, Daikenkai. The list goes on... It'd be pointless to translate each of these song's/artist's names. also these aren't short forms of anything.

My bad, its just that i saw it in some other thread and immediately came to post them here without checking. It was careless, but it won't happen again. Sorry.

Might be confusing to people who leave out the "love". No pun intended
