Rolls in stepmania?

I can't seem to find it anywhere... how does one add rolls to a simfile? Thanks.

What version of SM are you using DJBon2112? If you don't have a build made at least from the SMO version from www.stepmaniaonline.com (June something 2005), then rolls are impossible for you.

If you do have such a build, you can mess with rolls. In the editor, I don't fully recall the controls...but it's basically trying to make both a mine and a regular freeze at the same time. If you want to just do it by hand, make all of the rolls-to-be holds, and then within the .sm file (notepad or equivalent), replace the 2s that should be rolls 4s.

Thanks, I think using the most recent version, but I'll upgrade anyway.

Are there plans to add this functionality to normal Stepmania anytime soon?

Technically, it "is" in normal stepmania...just not in 3.9.

Look on the Stepmania links for something that says to test drive 4.0. Use at your own risk.
