Now. I'm generally calm save random bursts of rage. (And I mean RANDOM.) So when the girl who was playing ahead of me asked to shadow while I played, I figured it would be alright by me. She seemed decent enough, just needed a little more experience or confidence to hit Standard, and wasn't showoffy or anything. Nice kid.

Finish two songs, she's kept up well (and learned some things: she was unaware of the press-two-arrows-equals-change-songview trick before I started using it to find songs by mix.) I then go into Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix~ as a finale. She's been good this whole time, keeping on beat, even when she can't hit the right arrows, not talking to me unless it's between songs... I'm tired, I hit the last portion and fail shortly near the end. I'm muttering curses as I lean against the machine to catch my breath during "Game Over".

Now, she's stopped a few times during this to just watch, unable to keep up. So when she hears me curse, her response? "Aww, don't feel bad, I'm surprised you made it that far!"

It took all the willpower I had (as well as the fact that I like this arcade and don't want to be kicked out) to refrain from wrapping my hands around her neck as I snarled a very pissed off "I will end you." and walked off to get a drink.

Wtf. She was just trying to be nice. If she plays on light, then she's "surprised" because someone at her skill sees HVAM and is really impressed.

Hey, I said "random". I'm heading back again tomorrow, and if I see her, I plan to apologize (I have a feeling she'll recognize me, I wear a distinctively bizarre hat.)

Well yeah, she WAS being nice.
She obviously doesn't know what your skill level is.
You said she can't even do crap on Standard, so who the hell is she to say that to you?
Hey, if I was in your position, I would feel the same way.

1. I hate when people shadow me, especially while I'm playing ITG.
2. I hate when people talk to me while I'm playing.
3. I hate when people even stand on the pad while I'm playing.
4. I hate when people JUDGE how good/bad I am. People in general think that I suck because I'm a girl, but guess what guys.. We can do it too.
5. I hate most females in general. Especially ones who play on Standard who think they're really good.

Kay, I'm done.

Hahaha, oh Neshaminy, how I love thee. A lot of crazy creepy middle-aged men stand and stare all funky at me when I play. I usually ignore them. Some of them are fascinated and ask me questions. One of them had a daughter who was like, "that game is for boys!" and after watching me, the dad was like, "no see she can do it, you can do it too!" which was kind of cute. But for the most part they're really creepy.

Lol Spin Chicken. As of last Monday, I had the record for it in Neshaminy with some weak 96 frown.gif

Mary, if they're there when I'm there, tell me and I'll deal with them.

Here. Two things I dislike that don't make me sound like a dick.

a) People wanting to play on the 1P side (yes, I have a habit of being 2P... don't ask) when I'm about to do doubles on free play night, and then leaving after one song. Of four.

b) Leaving random items on the coinline and never appearing. And I do mean random. Someone balanced a Buddha statue on a PS1 memory card and left it in the line. I was there for at least two hours, and met buddies who'd been there for the three before: none of us ever saw anyone claim that turn. By the end of the night, the card had fallen off the machine and someone snagged Buddha.

Hi, I'm new here. E1.gif

But anyway, I hate it when:

1. People laughing at begginers playing, ESPECIALLY when begginers laugh at other begginers.

2. Begginers trying to stomp there way throughout the song. It gets really noisy. Like for example the song Silent Hill, they stomp continuously when the arrows aren't close, and their foot were up when it's the time to step.(Well, I don't remember doing that when I'm a begginer.)

I think that's all...I don't mind shadowing, bar raping etc. biggrin.gif

Syrg, why not just take the songs?
Free game dude.

And I laugh at beginners all the time.
Especially when they stomp the pads.

I like it when someone spells a word wrong 5 times in a row, even though that word appears right under their screen name when they post a message.

Well yeah, I ended up doing that in the end. I just got annoyed that somebody kept me from starting a doubles game when he only wanted to play one track. He could easily have gone to the badly-maintained, forsaken-by-all-even-on-free-night DDR USA a few feet away.

Oh yes, another thing that irritates me: DDR USA. Or at least the maintenance around every copy of it I've ever seen. For some reason, I never see one in decent condition (and when there is one, it's usually the only dance game there.) Even the one at my local arcade (which has an Extreme that's been there a few years and is in pretty damn good shape) is beat to hell and has all the timing coordination of a drunk on tranquilizers.

Let's seee...usually I'm the only one playing at the arcade I go to, but every once and awhile someone pops up...

1.) People that shadow me without asking, and then suck at the song I picked. It sounds stupid but I focus hard on the sound of my feet, and if there's someone next to me randomly pounding away at the arrows it gets me all kinds of screwed up.

2.) The group ofpeople that saunter in, never having played before, then proceede to DECIMATE the pads with their stupidity. The 1P side of the machine I play on is totally screwed up, since it's around an area with a lot of stupid people.

3.) People who exclaim "BAR RAPER BAR RAPER BAR RAPER!" when I start The Legend of Max on standard (Shutup, I can't do tens yet.. v.v), then proceede to shadow me (usually without asking) and SUCK without the bar. At least I can pass the song, ne?

Another minor annoyance is people who don't honour/understand the coin line. I know not every arcade uses it, but after enough trips up there, I've noticed that's what we go by. I hate trying to explain the concept of it to jerks. Not to be confused with people new to the game. Them I don't mind explaining it to.

i H8 people who think there all great cuz they passed a standard song
and the guy who stands telling u to hit the arrow as it goes into the arrow marker... thats my friend and i'd H8 him if he did that to me but he did th@ to annoy his GF good times good times
i also h8 people who make comments when you miss an arrow (my friends GF's Brother) and i'd h8 it if he did th@ to me
another thing is people playing air hockey and when they hit the puck so hard it lands onm the pad in the middle of HVAM and they try to pick it up (didnt happen yet buit it will, it will)

you try figuring this out cu this took 5 minits of typing and dont mind if it doesnt make sence

What about non-jerk non-new players who never saw the coin line concept in action before?

Hehe, I went to a new arcade today, (because the damn Union's monitor is now busted) and when I played Drop Out to screw around at the end of my round, the 5 ITG2 expert players there (There's always a group of 'em....) stopped and just stayed behind me eyeballing the screen. I failed at the long 8th note run because I was tired, and they began to mock me. I waited about 15 minutes, relaxed, watched them play a bit, and got back on and got a AA on Afronova. They then proceeded to shut up.

1. People asking me for money, and not just a quarter or two, but five dollars. What do I look like your brother/father/friend/boyfriend?
2. Playing with someone else who deicdes to take a social phone call in the middle the song selection and waits for the clock to go down, then goes into options, seriously if a you can't wait three minutes for some idle chit-chat do you think I wanna wait for your stupid phone call!
