What is the difference between PF and DM? I know they're both bemani, but I can't tell any difference between them. I have a PF5th near my area which i've played several times and we used to have a DM in Orlando, which I played a few times also, but there doesn't really seem to be any difference. _________________

Percussion Freaks is the asian (non japanese) version of Drummania. _________________

There are 3 versions:
Drummania (Japanese version)
Percussion Freaks Korean version
Percussion Freaks Asian version
The big differences are:
- PF Korean version has all the song titles and game instructions in English text, while PF Asian and DM have most of it in Japanese. Why it's in English and not Korean, I have no idea.
- Older versions of PF Korean version had all of the Japanese vocals removed from the songs and replaced them with crappy MIDI-like melodies. I know for sure PF3rd and PF4th Korean versions have the MIDI melodies and PF7th Korean has the Japanese vocals intact. Also, Ultimate Power and DM Powerful Mix are not found in the Korean versions.
I think you can't session a GF of one region with a PF/DM of another region, I'm not exactly sure on that.
The Percussion Freaks name ended when Drummania V came out to all of the regions. _________________

Percussion Freaks Asian? Never heard of that, nor seen it.
PF 1st Mix had one song taken out completely rather than replacing vocals: Ultimate Power. Never came on any PF Mix that I know of.
This is because of a Korean law (the censoring of Japanese songs).
Unico stopped distributing PF after 4th Mix though I believe, and just became Konami doing the PF distribution throughout Asia. _________________

This is all I know:
Before Fresno got DM10th, they had Percussion Freaks 8th Mix. The warning said that it was for all regions of Asia except for Japan. Nothing about whether or not it was for Korea.
Before that mix, they had PF7th Korean. The marquee sign said "Distributed by Unico", all of the game text and song titles were in English and the warning said it was for Korea only. _________________

Oh yeah that's right, PF8th Mix was the last Mix I think that they made in Korea. _________________
