PIU - Pump it Up. It is a five-panel dance game released by the Korean company, Andamiro.
They're releasing a PIU-compatible pad, as Pump it Up Exceed is due out nex t month. _________________

I love my xbox a little bit more than my ps2, so I was thinking:
Last week, I saw that the new release of PIU will be on both xbox and ps2.
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/puzzle/pumpitupexceed/index.html?q=pump+it+up
Having said that, will the new cboxes support xbox AND PIU on the xbox? It would be nice to have a dance mat that natively supports all of these things... |

It is official from the Cobalt Flux team themselves. They did not release a date, but I assume that it has to be within the next two months. He did say they were in production. God, it's all in posts previous to yours. Read. Please. _________________

We're waiting on it too, should be soon now though (exact release dates have been my death in the past, especially on this project, so I can't give it out, even though I'm pretty sure I have one.)
Here's a slick update. We're planning on having a PIU mode, where when you hold start+select at boot up it changes the button mapping to PIU instead of DDR.
Not much else to report as of right now. |
Native PIU support was unexpected but certainly not unwelcome. I can't wait until this cbox is released... Right now, I have three different cboxes for three different tasks. |
There's your answer then. _________________

So after a long investigation, I finally decided to buy the Cobalt Flux. I really hope that this turns out to be a good thing. I'm confident it will, it's just when dropping that much dough it's really hard not to worry. oh well, I shall explain how it goes when I get it. I ordered it Sat. Night... and it's still waiting to be shipped off, so I'm not really sure when I'll get it... but I do live in Missouri, so it's not super close to Utah, but it's also not on the East Coast. |

i have read some problems far back in this post. Some people have problems with the CF pad.... HOW?! My friend has two CF pads, he plays/has played almost every day for two years, with shoes. The pads work absolutely fine.
He even has kind of a dirty room so he puts garbage or clothes on the pads. Bottom line is that I LOVE this pad. But my only question is what is the best way to clean it? |

w00t!! My pad just came in the mail today at 9:00 A.M. It's sweet, I love it so much. The only thing I am wondering is if I should loosen the screws. but I have to go to work soon so I will have to experiment later. I have the black arcade mod on it, and it is amazing. I ordered it last Sat. and the Flux team shipped it out Wed. night. It made it here in three days! Man, I am so excited now. I may have to call in sick or something. lol. |

Have fun with it.
My down arrow on my pad died, I've already done everything with the screws, cleaned it, repositioned the wire, and done everything else Enoch and I could think of. Anybody have any ideas so I don't have to blow $40 on shipping the pad to them? |

Well I got my CF today, just 1 hr ago about. I opened it up, pluged it in to my EMSUSB2 adapter, plugged it in to my computer and it worked right out of the box. I didn't even have to set the arrows in Stepmania. It was already in there from my softpad. I played an assortment of songs, and I instantly noticed a significant improvement. It turns out I was good at DDR all along, my pad just sucked. I was getting A's and AA's on things the first try that would have taken me 4-5 trys with my softpad.
All in all, this thing worked flawlessly out of the box. I love it. I just hope it doesn't crap out on my down the line. I will take good care of it. And as a bonus, my CF slides right under my bed, and out of the way. |

I seriously doubt that. It's 99.9999% likely that your control box crapped out. If you know someone with a control box they'll let you borrow, you can test it out, or get a new one if you're still under the warranty. _________________
