Ok right now I play DDR on heavy beating all 7 footers and 8 footers. I can beat a couple 9 footers such as Tsagaru but i'm more likely to fail. And i''ve beaten bag but on 4x... so can you all give me a couple heavy songs that will help me take that step to mastering 9 and 10 footers

Ummm.... hmmmm... well, i don't know off the top of my head whether or not a song is, or is not, a 9-10 footer (except a few). The ones i do know are kinda difficult if you're JUST beginning them. I, personally, tried Drop Out NW260 (not the remix) and, yeah, i failed a bunch of times, but that's the entire point of DDR. You have to practice and do songs that you just can't do. So, i'm sure that there are certain songs that people will recommend to do on 9-10 footer (o yeah... do Sakura on oni.. it's extremly easy and 1000 times easier than Sakura heavy... believe me E13.gif ), but i would say to just try them and practice them. Hope this helped somewhat nerd.gif riiight.gif

Are you serious!?! Cartoon Heroes!!1!!1!!11 That song is so flipin' hard! I couldn't pass that even when I could B Max 300!

I would try some easy 9 footers such as Hypnotic Crisis, or somethin like that. Basically all you need is to practice, practice, practice! And definitley learn all of the crossovers.

When you say that you can "beat" all 7 and 8-footers, what types of letter grades do you get? If you can't consistantly get an A on most 7 and 8-footers, I'd practice those first because they develop step patterns and skills that most 9 and 10-footers are based on. Then you could try some easy 9-footers like I Feel and Rain of Sorrow.

First 9-footers I beat: (in no order)

Kakumei
Paranoia KCET
Gradiusic Cyber
(Didn't play Rain of Sorrow or i feel until much later, but these are very easy, too)

When I first beat them, I got Cs and probably a couple Ds. Now, I can beat most with a B (especially ones that are just stream-intensive, like Can't Stop Fallin' in Love ~Speed Mix~, Dead End, Paranoia Rebirth), and a few Cs (SO DEEP, Cartoon Heros). Oh, and ParanoiaBrothers is right about Sakura Oni. My friend played Trick mode next to me, and he was doing almost as much work, and Sakura Trick is an 8. If Sakura's unlocked, try Oni steps, so long as you can read at 300 BPM, and are ready for a tempo change in the middle.

bag 1x boost.

Over and over. You can do it.

Rhythm and Police 2x.

Over and over. Helps you out big time. Beat it and you'll feel invincible to other 9 footers.

Try Drop Out, Kakumei, Exotic Ethnic, Rhythm and Police or Healing Vision(Angelic Mix). They all help build skills such as speed, gallops, stamina, ect. Good Luck.

It exists on SM, maybe that's what he's playing.

"Good Luck," indeed! With that songlist, I'd be very afraid if I were trying to move up to 9-footers. If you can start passing those, you can definitely pass other Catas.

Haha sorry that's on step mania... but I can also beat it on 3x.

Thanx everyone it's late now and the flux will bring down the house but I'll work on all that tomorrow

You should start playing easy 9 foot such as Dyanamite Rave, kakumei or Paranoia KCET. This would adjust your mode so you could get use to 9 foot.

Hope that helps

Shock horror: You don't need us to tell you to try some songs out and look at the Groove Radar.

Well, it doesn't *outright* deceive you--it's kind of like the foot difficulties of Doubles mode (in that they're not necessarily reliable, I believe). It's a clever quick-reference for songs you may have never seen before (Whoa, lots of Air? No thanks, I'll take this Stream-intensive song). It's not necessary, but it's a trinket many appear to enjoy.

the groove radar helps for me. if i know it's a fast song, and i see any decent amount of chaos on the radar, i wont play a song. but yes, it does deceive.
