E4.gif

It's not [t-sugaru] it's silent like tsunami.

It's because it's Japanese disgust.gif .

Thanks! Now I won't feel like an idiot when I ask if someone wants to play it and I just guess how to say it.

Mods: Feel free to lock the thread if you want.

That must have been before I joined cause I've made it a point to read every thread that's been used on the top 4 forums since I joined. Thanks!

My friends always pronounce it Tis-oo-gar-oo, and i just sort of laugh at it. I have to tell them every time that its Soo-gar-oo. I find it funny how many people mispronounce it

Funny. My Japanese friend always says "Tzu-ga-loo." Which is correct, according to my admittedly very limited knowledge of Japanese pronunciation.

Tsu is usually pronounced with a hard "ts" sound, like the example danburi gave, but the t is much less pronounced than the s. Ga is really as written, and "r" is pronounced as a sort of a mixture between l and d, which is really hard to type out, so I'm not going to try.

Also, as far as I know, they don't stress syllables. I may be way off on all of this, though, so if I'm wrong please correct me.

My friend always pronounces that damn T. It's his favorite song, he should know how to pronounce it. E1.gif I'm gonna kick him soon. Haha.
