3. Read the FAQ. It's there for a reason. _________________

Has anyone used this for edit transfering? _________________

I bought one. It works with PS2 files only, so if you want to use it to transfer edits, you'll need to upload/download an Edit Library. _________________

LOKI posts here on these boards. I'd suggest contacting him directly. _________________

Just got my Dex Drive today.
Loaded New Link Data for Extreme onto it. How do you input your initials with just a Dex Drive?
Do you need a copy of 5th Mix to get my initials on the Link Data file? |

The offset for initials in Link Data is at 0x3B80. It's four bytes, ASCII. _________________

Do you mean 0x1B80? I can't find anything starting with 0x3. I'm using the hex editor in PSXGameEdit.
Also...There are 8 columns of numbers, which one do I edit with my initials? |

Assuming your initials are ABCD, you'll have the following:
0x1B00: A
0x1B01: B
0x1B02: C
0x1B03: D _________________

Just want to make sure I'm at the right spot. |

No, I meant it as I typed it. The name should all be on one row, not in one column. _________________

I can only find B10 B20, not B01 or B02. None of the values go 01, 02, 03, they are all 10, 20, 30, etc...
I also can't change the value to any letter after F....How would I go about putting a W? |

If you want the exact byte position of where you are, look at the top of the editor window, on the righthand side, to the left of where it says "Changed" or "Not changed". That's your cursor's current position. mrjuggles wrote: | I also can't change the value to any letter after F....How would I go about putting a W? | Click on the righthand side, not the left. You're trying to enter in the raw hexadecimal value instead of the ASCII letter.
You might want to go learn a bit more about hex editors before posting back here again. I'm not gonna teach you how to use one. Learn by doing.
PS - For a fun learning project, go start up some random single-player game on your PC. Shoot a single bullet, and then save your game in a new slot. Compare the contents of the two save files. Voila - you now know how to hack your save file to add bullets and whatnot. As I said before - learn by doing. _________________

I have a question. I really don't feel like reading all of those pages, so here goes. How to I convert an edit that I made on a CS version to .dwi and vise versa? I have a Dex Drive so that's taken care of. _________________

I tried plugging in my iPod to my PS2 like the USB flash drive, and al lI got it to do was to charge.
Im going to try putting the iPod into disk mode first next time, to see what happens. Hopefully there will be a new way of transfering data.
Im sad... I tried with a fourth gen running 3.0.2.
If anyone else wants to try with a third or mini.... _________________

I imagined a part of a thread that you said that there is no software needed.
I need help..
If anyone has the software, it might work if you put the iPod in disk mode (Restart iPod and hold the select and play buttons at the apple screen). _________________
