...but "sucking" well...that goes away with experience...the thing that most DDR players don't see is that because the younger generation has more time on their hands...they are free to play DDR more than us old people. Take me. I'm 21. I have college, skateboarding, surfing, song writing and poem writing...so there ya have it. No DDR on my agenda? That's why! No time!

So us old people have a rep. to uphold! I'm 21! I'm old damnit.

Oh wait...I don't play anymore! (Never mind!) haha! E7.gif

Speak of the Devil...

yesterday, i was playing 3 weeks worth of DDR and at a point i was playing with this little kid who's at most 12 years old. The kid 0wnzored me at Freckles and some other song. It was pretty annoying being p0wned in front of people by a kid whos 3 feet smaller than you [im 6"5].
Although i wanted to hate him i kept reminding myself that he's good because he practiced so much. There is no reason to bring age into this. And i think it would be good if anyone was in the situation to think this way also.

[to redeemed myself i got 10 greats on kind lady and got an A on Rhythmn and Police on Extra Stage]

I no i shouldnt be annoyed
i just am

thats and the fact that ive been playing for almost 3 years and i asked the gurl how long shes been playing

she says about 10 months

Since ive had the home game ive practiced every day (except of course vacations and when i sprained my ankle) and it just blows my mind that ive been playing 3x longer than someone and theyre still better than me

eh, I annoy people more for my lack of time playing the game. there are players who have been playing for years that get annoyed with me because I've AAed 4 10s after 11 months of playing. it really has to do with practice. I practice my ass off all the time. I'm sure there are younger people than me who practice more and are better and have been playing for less time.

it doesn't upset me though. especially when it comes to a tourney setting. age has nothing to do with it. everyone is an opponent that you are trying to defeat. I don't pay attention to age or anything like that because I don't want to underestimate anyone. and I let the fact that I lost drive me, not the fact that I lost to a younger player (though I don't think that's happened yet). It's drive that makes a player good, not age or amount of time playing, and I'll respect anyone who has put more work in than me, regardless of age, experience, or gender.

Okay, why would people be pissed if he/she/it meets his match? This should be taken in a positive way. Learn from defeat, and get them back next time. When you lose to someone, it means you have something to learn before you can beat them. In turn, your defeated opponents will have something to learn to defeat you. That's the core of what competition is.

If you cannot accept defeat, you cannot accept knowledge that helps you becoming better. And that applies to everything.

I'm 22, so most of the players in OKC are younger than me anyways.

I just stopped caring after I got my buttocks handed to me by a 10 year old on LoM Standard.
