I've had a lot of people tell me that DDR is "gay".
If "gay" is the best insult they can come up with, then they probably lack the brain power to move 2 appendages at once, so they'd suck at ddr anyway =p
That's why it doesn't bother me.

One of the reasons people might call you "gay" or "homo" is because they think it's an actual dancing game or maybe because they think it's a tap dancing game.

People who call DDR "Gay" (btw, the word is so stupid to use) are usually not really mentally inclined or just label it that 'cuz they find it too hard or too confusing to muster braincells together.

Luckily at my local Gameplex & Boomers peeps don't say anything, they usually just watch or go onto some other game. Hecklers aren't big, but yeah they lurk. Threatening them with a kick from the DDR legs might intice them to move elsewhere, or do as Sync said to hush them nicely.

until you reach tournament level players, and even then. DDR doesnt look like the most graceful game in the world. in fact you can end up looking really stupid when playing it. there will always be people there to make fun of it, oh well fuck em. ask them to do it, and they'll probably look like 5 year olds, then they'll say "that game is so gay". anyways, all i tell people is that i enter tournaments, i win money for playing a game that is fun. most of them leave me alone after that.

People like that disgust me. Fortunately, all of my friends are obsessed with DDR too. At the arcade if you've noticed, DDR players have there own little group and anybody who watches will normally say WOW, or watch your feet go fast. But if I ever hear them say DDR is gay, I would make them get on the machine. I would also put them in quicksand!
