|
|
I have a non-burned copy of IIDX 3rd Style for the PS2. Just recently, it developed an error where some sounds are very soft or muted, when of course they shouldn't be. The muted sounds are the same each time, they don't change places.
The best example of this is in Indigo Vision. The first sample that goes "the most difficult thing I've ever tried to do" doesn't play, then the second one does.
Has anyone encountered this? Is it a symptom of the disc wearing out? |

I had something like this happen with 6th style once. Same problem with Indigo Vision like you had. And then some of my other games seemed like that too.
It had something to do with one of the wires conncecting to the PS2 I believe, where one was not all the way in.
Try adjusting the wires. I think the big black wire was the problem for me. _________________

After listening to the MP3, the sample ("the most difficult thing I've ever tried to do") really does come out one speaker, then the other. Meaning, one of the wires in my audio cable is broken or something. I'd played this on both my TV and my TV-tuner PCI card. I noticed that sound came out both speakers with my TV-tuner card, which probably auto-detected the mono sound input. On my TV, I probably didn't notice it was mono because the speakers are so close anyway.
I can try turning mono on in the game, but I'm worried about my PS2 now. I've tried this with the audio cable that came with my PS1 and the one with my PS2, and I don't think either worked. It's more likely that a pin of the connector on the PS2 side is messed up, making it harder to fix than getting a new cable. Argh. |

That happened with a couple of my PS2's. It was on the Playstation side...wasn't the cord. _________________

That stinks. My PS2 is mono now.
But that pales in comparison to the fact that IT DOESN'T READ DVD's ANYMORE!
Freakin junk. I've been trying to fix it for quite a while. |
