I bought a dpr2 at a gamestop so i could mod it and when i got it, it said it had lights on it. but when i plugged it in the lights did not light up when i stepped on them during a song. I was gonna buy another one anyways so i returned that one so i would have two that would light up instead of one that did and one that didnt. so i came home with my two new pads plugged them in and i soon figured out that the lights did not work on those either. Is there someting im doing wrong? I dont really care about the lights really but i just thought it would be cool if i could get them to work. Please respond any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you're looking at the control box and not the arrows when you press on the arrows?

Hey everyone. At my high school, the sophomores have this fund raiser called Fun Day. All the elementary school kids come to the high school and swim, play sports, etc. Well, I got the student council to have a video game room. It's crazy- 1 XBOX, 4- PS2s, and the killer- 8 pads for DDR! E4.gif Anyway, I figured I would un-mod my mod and clean up the pad because little kids don't need anything fancy to play a game they have never heard of. Here is my problem- I had some Carpet Guard over my pad so I could play in my shoes without damaging my pad. I took it off and I was left with a TON of sticky residue. I used water, goo gone, and lemon scrub, and I still cannot stop my pad from being sticky!!! I got the pad cleaned off, and the disgusting residue is gone, but the stickiness still remains! Any tips? Man, my pad looks so nice... why can't it feel good?

Does it say on the box that the pad has built in lights or are the lights just on the picture?

Babyface when you make those cozy pads do you just put carpeting over the pad. or do you put wood under the pad too. because once i was thinking of doing something like that putting a masonite board the size of my pad down. then putting foam on top of that then my pad then carpeting. but i wasnt sure if since there was so much cushion the arrows may not respond. and i was wondering if you guys thought that the arrows would respond or not.

diabloslayer on the box it just says "wow bonus feature, lights up!" and "lights up to your dance beats" or something like that for the second one.

The cozy pads have many differant models. mostly they are just carpet tops (the carpet makes the pad super responsive but then we put special padding stuff between the actuall pad and carpet top), but some of the models we have made for people have like a wood base or even a carpeted base so it is carpet on both sides, all models have shown to be super responsive and very durable we are yet to find a problem.

Pouncer_ ......

when i got my first pad it said that exact thing and confused me also. but the lights they are talking about are the lights when you step on an arrow on the "control box" on the top of the pad has lights that light up when you step. but no actuall lights on the pad, but yours might be differant, this is just what i think? laugh.gif

i have found a problem with one of my dpr2's the up arrow i think the sensor is like folded or something. and it lumps up right there. if you barely touch the lump it goes. but sometimes when im dancing it wont register it seems like. does anyone know how i could fix this with out ripping my pad open?

Babyface my control box is just black and not see through and blue like other ones i have seen and it isnt lighting up and i dont see any lights on it so i have no idea but oh well i dont really care.

DPR2's don't light up.Sorry, but the only lights on pads are for the control box.

Your "lump" is the foam between the arrows, a common mishap on these pads. Eventually it will lead to the demise of your pads.Should've gotten an ignition or konami pad.

I already told you this on AIM but other people could use this answer too. Well I (on a serious note) used my thumb nail and literally just peeled it off.

Um 1. You need to stop double posting every post.

2. The site has never worked. Once.
