Metal Pad Discussion Part II

HELP ME!!!

Essentially, I have a problem, and for the Metal Pad/Wiring wizards, this shouldn't be too much trouble.

OK---- I recently bought a CF Pad (2.0), and I have been using it through a Gemeni adaptor to play Ultramix. Needless to say, this adds on unacceptable lag time on an already picky game. So I checked out this Beavstir3 (www.beaverbytes.com?) guide on how to mod your own CBOX by chopping up the soft pad. That's fine, but the guide only covers how to do it on a CF 1.0. . The difference is the prong output from the CF. I think in 1.0 it's 9, but on 2.0 it's more.
So here is my question: Do I...
A: Cut the wire that leads into the CBOX just before it gets there, and wire it from there...
B: Get a new wire (the D-Shell cable I got is a 9-prong ala the guide).

Also, does anyone have a wiring chart for me to use?

hey guys, after reading most of this thread, I'm pretty set on buying two CF pads. From what I've read they don't seem to require much modding to the pad (unlike the BNS and RO pads). So, my question is, what kind of maintenance does the CF require? just cleaning, or are there other minor mods that you should make to it right away to ensure that it lasts for a long time.

Cuz, if I'm gonna drop $600 on these things, I do NOT want them to crap out on my buttocks.

ALSO: is there a warranty on them? the CF web site doesn't mention one.

Ok. So after much reading, I have figured this. The CF is the best quality pad to get. But is there any that clicks like the arcade? Would that be the red octane?

I want it to be just like the arcade as possible...also...wats the height of the trick bars and how far are they spaced apart from each pole, and how thick is it, and how far behind the arrows are they?

Okay, for anyone who slept through their physics class, here is the reason why trick bars at home are a bad idea:

Your weight = 150 pounds.
Pad's weight = 40 pounds.

150 pound person trying to swing or lean on a bar anchored by a 40 pound pad = property damage and pain.

Unless you bolt the pad to the floor, and possibly even then if the bolts or floor are weak and give way, trying to do anything that involves putting a large part of your weight on the trick bar will make the bar tip over and send you crashing to the floor. The bars on the arcade machines are welded onto a big heavy box and pretty much guaranteed not to break off or tip over. Anything that you could make at home would be an accident waiting to happen. So please, spare everyone from the headline of 'IMPRESSIONABLE CHILD DIES PLAYING EVIL VIDEO GAME, PARENTS SUE KONAMI FOR $15 MILLION' and don't try that at home.

It's actually to prevent yourself from slipping off the pads. I know, it sounds stupid but it actually works. When you first get your pad, if you slide your hand across the panel, you will notice that there's a good amount of friction, but after you have had the pad for a couple of days and have been playing on it regularly, slide your hand on it again. There will be a lot less friction, to compare, you could then slide your hand on a less used panel, like the Square panel. By spraying the bottom of your feet with water, somehow, you get more grip and you won't slip off of the arrows as much if you didn't spray the bottom of your feet.
