Thanks for correcting our misunderstood friend, guys.
I said no where that IIDX made an exact DJ simulation game.
Do you even own any BM or Pop'n? On any BM game, it CLEARLY fucking states "DJ Simulation game".

When you play Pop'n music, the announcer makes sublte references that you are a "DJ". Although Pop'n Music is officially a "Music Simulation Game". So while it isn't really confirmed a "DJ Simulation Game", they hint at it enough to guess it as so.
http://www.toysnjoys.com/popnmusic.html (on the PSX version boxes)
There ya go. No conga, no DJ, no whack-a-mole (as I've heard someone call it "Musical whack-a-mole before ). Just a Music Simulation game.
No one said ANY Bemani was supposed to be exactly the same as the style of music it's simulating. That's just common sense, my friend. DDR is probably the worst of the bunch when it comes to taking the true feel of what it's simulating. I'd say the best Bemani for correctness is probably KBM, and maybe DM as well - as you use the actual instruments the real thing is used with.
After all the Bemani's PSX versions, Konami stopped displaying what type of simulation game each Bemani was - but it's common sense to carry over their descriptions to the PS2 versions. _________________

This isn't a Pop'n VS IIDX thread. It's a thread about new Bemani ideas. Let's keep it that way, eh? |

Quote: | And if you mean that it IS a DJ sim game, just not accurate, then why did you argue against "IIDX, is a DJ simulation game" |
I hardly have a clue what you mean, but my point was that IIDX is nothing like being a DJ even though it says it's a DJ sim, so the idea of Pop'n being a DJ sim is just fall on the floor hilarious.
Quote: | Just shut the fuck up and go back to Bemanistyle.
|
Now THAT'S funny. DDRFreak is a site you "go back to" (most people find it first over all other bemani sites), bemanistyle isn't, considering it is a superior site in the first place.
Quote: | And where did he say that IIDX is an ACCURATE DJ simulation game? Nowhere....... |
The IIDX thing was fuel for my statement about how ignorant the idea of Pop'n being a dj sim is.
Quote: | Do you even own any BM or Pop'n? On any BM game, it CLEARLY frick states "DJ Simulation game". |
WOW, I GUESS I WOULD NOT HAVE NOTICED THAT AFTER HAVING OWNED BOTH GAMES FOR OVER A YEAR.
NO SHIT DUMBASS.
Quote: | When you play Pop'n music, the announcer makes sublte references that you are a "DJ". |
"My DJ so bad" is just bad engrish not meant to be taken seriously, and that's the only reference in the game where it mentions anything about being a DJ.
Quote: | So while it isn't really confirmed a "DJ Simulation Game", they hint at it enough to guess it as so. |
HINTING and GUESSING is not good enough to assume that it's supposed to be a DJ simulation game WHEN IT IS FUCKING OFFICIALLY LISTED AS A MUSIC SIMULATION GAME.
Quote: | No one said ANY Bemani was supposed to be exactly the same as the style of music it's simulating. |
This matters why...?
Quote: | DDR is probably the worst of the bunch when it comes to taking the true feel of what it's simulating. |
Actually, DDR is pretty close when you consider bag and Lord of the Dance. |

Yodel Yodel Revolution
Uses the same game engine as Karaoke Revolution, but has the additional feature of making everybody want to stab you in the head with a #2 pencil over and over and over again.

Second off. The marching idea is alright, but I don't think it'd be much fun. It might be cool once..maybe twice, but then you'd just be moving a mace up and down. |
WOO! GO ME! someone liked my idea!....Maybe there can be an option where u can pick to be Drum Major, colorguard(Flags, shields), PERCUSSION,or majorette, OR OTHER STUFF LIKE DAT.........THAT WOULD BE FREAKIN' AWSOME!!!!!!!!! _________________

I too was thinking of a xylo/marimba mania kind of thing, although I figured a vibraphone would be a neat choice, given the added complication of a foot pedal. When playing the vibraphone, you have to hold the pedal down and let go to end the note. The only problem with that might be trying to make an accurate enough simulation vibraphone that can stand up to arcade abuse. The vibraphone in our band room is pretty delicate, and being a mallet percussionist, I guard it jealously; trying to keep it from getting ruined. |

College Drumm off!
Its like drum mania but all you have are 5 equal size drums in a semi- circle the notes fall the same but there is no melody only your drum sounds. You know like at a college football game? They make crazy rythms with the different tones, that would be cool. I can't think of any other cool musical instrument you can play.... I'll keep thinking |
