Can using a bar during a video game really piss people off this much? In my eyes, this seems very pathetic.

Amen. Play it how you want, it is your money you are paying. I think fair payment for penny tossing is a punch per penny.[/b]

The whole point of DDR is to gain balance and endurance. Bar raping kinda defeats the whole purpose. Passing the song is only a side effect of better balance and endurance. Plus eye foot cordination.

I was so wrong when I thought the point of video games was to have fun.

I thought the point of DDR was to stomp on arrows and get perfects while doing so. I dunno...maybe I've been wrong all this time. Oh and that having fun thing is a good idea too.

I use the bar. People assume that if you use the bar you're only doing so because you HAVE to. Not so, it's just that when I'm getting the lowest count of greats possible on Max300 I really don't need to be worrying about anything that's going on ABOVE my waist, because after a point your instincts take care of you.

When someone complains about my bar use, what do I do?

I rely on the bar more.

They complain more.

I rely on the bar more.

The continue to complain.

I begin to passionately kiss the bar right in front of them between songs, then the arcade manager complains about sanitation...

why is it that I can do Maxx Unlimited and PAranoia Survivor without the bar, but I can't get through half of Max 300 worth the life of me. I don't get it. Isn't Max 300 supposed to be the easiest 10 fooster aside from Bag and Sakura?

I am proud to say I have NEVER used the bar. Everything I do is just straight up stamina. I've been a don't-give-a-shyte player. I care not for AAing songs and I find PAing songs VERY VERY LAME and BORING

I one time saw this guy who was trying to PA some songs, I could tell because when he got a great, he would STOMP the pad like a swarm of scorpions just started coming out of in between the arrows.

I'd go on the pads and he'd criticize me a bit after a song or 2. It bugged me when he said
'Give it some effort. Why don't you hold onto the bar?'
me- 'Because it looks like sh*t the way you do it'

Don't mess with an apathetic player.

In conclusion:

I think:
Perfect Attack sucks
The bar sucks.
People who complain and get mad about not AAing a song REALLY suck.

That's my opinion, and now it's time to deal with it!

Amen, geez about time someone had something like this to say... I mean, it is pathetic.. It's like someone who plays a shooter game with a virtual gun and then you have someone else who plays the controller (This is game wise I can come up with more analogies than this) Well more people play with controllers than the guns but how could anyone get so mad (The possibility of getting mad is just ridiculous and utterly stupid) to throw and throw insults to someone who uses the gun? Why? What's the point? Maybe the person with the gun can't play the gun as well as others do on the controller and verse visa. Anyway the point is that no one has the right to rip on anyone just because they use a mod to help or to get better even though they can eventually play better without using them... It's just childish and simply 'pathetic' to complain or whatever on someone when 1) You don't know them! 2)You both play the same game but there's competition unless you challenge them. Bah it's just plain logic, that's just being an a**hole and an idiot.. I don't even find it funny. (PS, none of this is directly placed on anyone it's just my view on how being rude to others how they play is something that shouldn't be tolerated **ANYWHERE**)

I use the bar for any difficulty of song, and it helps a lot. Play for yourself.
