guess I might as well post on topic XP

I love teaching people how to play, and I never insult/show up anybody who I'm better than, unless they're cocky. When I was new, I would have loved advice/support from a good player. Oh well, at least I wasn't shown up. Uhhmmm by the way, what could you possibly gain from rubbing it in a newb's face that you're better? Are you actually that insecure about your own abilities? People like that disappoint me... bleh...

There's only 1 person who I'd show up right now...

Back at Funset there was this one stupid white trash kid who always acted cocky, but the only 3 songs he would EVER play were Do It All Night, Mr. Wonderful, and Turn Me On. This was on a 3rd mix, but Funset upgraded to extreme a little while ago. From what I hear, that kid is still at it, playing the same 3 songs every time (different than his 3 3rd mix ones though), acting cocky and whatnot. I'm so tempted to go down there and shut that kid up good... I hope he remembers me, last time he saw me play, the best I could do was B on paranoia rebirth E9.gif

But showing off to a crowd is fun E4.gif it's always fun to do something like CSFILSM AA, HVAM AA, So Deep AA, MaxX Ex A when you've got a huge crowd E1.gif Freestyle would work too, but all my routines are just stupid stuff that wouldn't look impressive <_< (silent hill, orion .78, break down... imagine how cool FS's on those would look)

My enjoyment while playing is directly proportional to the number of people watching. And the number of people watching always increases when I play. It's a beautiful, beautiful cycle.

I've seen technical players going up after me, doing catastrophics on stealth, the works, and it's real impressive for a bit - but then the crowd goes down again. I'd rather get a flip or twist into the action than add another foot difficulty.

But the real reason I prefer FreeStyling?

It's more fun.

I played to get better until I could do Catas and stuff, now when they're no one at the arcade like other players, I play 6-7 footers on Standard just for the heck of it. I get crowds whether I play Heavy or not. But when other DDR players are at the arcade, time to bust out the 10 Footers.
Actually the kinds of people that play songs like MAX300, Twinbee, Burning Heat, and PSM, stuff like that usually get less crowds then people playing Standard/Heavy songs like Let's Groove, 1998, DDR, Dynamite Rave, A, etc. therefore I play I guess, less uh...nerdy songs E4.gif and that's how I show off.
