It will seem a bit confusing if you've never used it before, but you'll eventually get the hang of it. Put all your songs in the "songs" subdirectory, controls are z-s-x-d-c-f-v-g-b. |

yeah, it will work.. the 'japanese ps2' reference is just for the game itself... in other words u need a jpn ps2 or modded ps2 for the game.. it doens't have anything to do with the controller |

Keitaro: $30 is a good price, that's what I paid for mine off of JapanVideoGames. AFAIK, all the pedal does is plug into an audio in port on the controller and make a noise whenever you hit the pedal. I'm still trying to find somethin,g but if you can find something that'll be completely silent until you hit it when plugged into a 1/8" audio jack.
Tenaciousmonk: Why don't you just PM me and I'll be more than happy to help. |

I'm not sure about those that don't, but many MIDI keyboards actually do have an effector on them. |

OK so nobody has answered this question yet. KBM + USB ADAPTER + YAMAHA KEYBOARD = works, i assume. but the yamaha keyboard has no effector or anythign resembling an effector. is anybody in this situation? how can this be compensated for? |

Anything but the official Konami IIDX controller is crap. No if ands or buts. That controller on Red Octane has very messed up buttons that are too small and all out of place. Goto www.yesasia.com and get a real IIDX controller. _________________

I got my Official IIDX controller and it is AMAZING!!!!!! but I still want a separate controller for 5 key and im low on cash so im going for the cheap alternative. Has anyone seen this or had one? It's called the Beat-Con. www.toysnjoys.com sells it for $79.99 but i found a site that sells it for $18!!!! also, they sell the DJ man for $18. so, which is the better of the 2. and dont tell me to buy the official lol Any good? |

Where did you find this Beat-Con for $18? If it's like the ASCII controller it resembles, it's probably okay but not that great. More accurate to the arcade than the DJ Man, I'm sure. The DJ Man has piano-style keys, and that's not what beatmania is like.
P.S. Your IIDX controller is going to be much better for 5-key than any controller you can buy for $20. The only one that might be able to compete with it is the DJ Station Pro (at least $60), and even that might fall short. |

yeah sorta a noob question not really.
I have a offical konami IIDX controller for IIDX. But I've heard about people modding them, can someone send me a link to what the best way is to do this. Is it more than just sanding the keys? or by modding are they takling about being fancy and changing the colors of the controller . Anyway, a little feedback would be appreciated, someone sent me to this thread to find it, so here I am. Thanks again. |

Has anyone ever had trouble with the turntable getting somewhat stuck? I was playing today and realized that it I could spin it about half way around and then it would get pretty hard to move and fealt like it was grinding against something but i couldn't figure out what was happening. _________________
